2 Background Important dates Last date for receiving abstract is 31 January, Intimation of acceptance of abstract by 10 February, 2019 Last date for full paper 28 February, 2019 Every single economy whether poor or rich; developed, developing or underdeveloped ; industrial or agricultural; capitalist, or socialist, revolves around the single, powerful, and inescapable reason, to cope with the problems created by scarcity. Scarcity commands that we cannot have everything we want, forcing us to make unwelcome choices. At individual and nations level both, scarcity is the root of problems to be balanced. Scarcity is, of course, a more serious threat at some times and at some places than at others. It has many faces, and cruellest is suffering by severe poverty. We live in a world of scarcity where mostly all people want and need variety of goods and services. This applies equally to the poor and the rich people, but at any one point of time, only a limited amount of goods and services can be produced. This is because the existing supplies of resources are extremely inadequate. These resources are land, labour, capital and entrepreneurship etc. These factors of production or inputs are used in producing goods and services that are called economic goods which have a piece. The expectation of a rising standard of living over time, so automatic for us, is effectively beyond the realm of possibility for the hundreds of millions who have the misfortune of comprising the world are desperately poor. Thus every society is faced with the basic problem of deciding what it is willing to sacrifice to produce the goods it wants the most. This effects all the three sector of Indian economy as India is the land of vast natural resources but with huge population. The primary sector -agriculture facing the problem of food security and food safety, secondary- sector industry facing the problem of imbalanced demand and supply in post demonetisation and GST era and lastly service sector facing the problem of surplus human resource leading to massive unemployment. The objective of the seminar is to provide an ideal platform where the experiences and thoughts can be shared and assimilated to come up with a unified understanding of redefining scarcity and choice theory in the view of Indian sectorial economy.

3 Sub-Themes Macroeconomic instability in India w.r.t. Investment, Consumption, Inflation, Unemployment and National Income Restriction in business and low technological penetration, ease of doing business, technology innovation and post-gst manufacturing Recession and service sector problems. Demographic problems, health risks and inequality exclusion Low agricultural productivity and high environmental risk, such as farmers distress, MSP and climate change. General Guidelines for Paper Submission Authors are encouraged to submit full, original and unpublished paper in English. Manuscripts within 3000 to 4000 in length are preferred. An abstract of about 250 words with three to five key words should also be submitted along with the paper. All manuscripts should be mailed in MS Word format. The manuscript should be accompanied by author/s declaration stating that the paper is his/her original work and has not been sent for consideration for publications in any other journals or edited book or elsewhere. Selected papers shall be published in International Journal of Social Science and Development Policy jointly published by BBAU and ASEDS semi-annually.
