A continually engages in unauthorized activities that adversely impedes the Organization; 2. A continually fails to carry out the duties assigned to him/her by the Board. To remove a a vote must be taken by the Board of s and two-thirds must be in favor of removing the. 3 IDRA MINUTES OF ANNUAL MEETING, SEPT. 5, 2015 PAGE PHRAGMITES Sharon Cross Sharon informed that the invasion of the phragmite reed is now at Inverhuron Efforts have been made digging the plants up and disposing of them. Encourage members to visit the table display with pictures where the plant Is now invading other beaches. The roots of this plan kill all other plants in the area. We can t spray in the water for plants seen there. The seed heads appear near the end of August. To dispose of them they need to be burned. 1.8 MEMBERSHIP - Shirley Knautz Membership paid in paid members to-date is down from last year. Steering committee consists of herself, Marelle Evans, Drew Robertson, Sheila Ogg, John Dixon Dale Stewart Kincardine Council not accepting the cost of proposed Pavilion. Have pursued options and will continue bringing before Council. Will once again keep going before Council and give a presentation to coincide with Council budgeting plans for next year CORN ROAST Michele Aunger Michele encouraged and invited all to attend the Annual Corn Roast informing them Dave Jewett and band would be performing from 4:30PM TO 7PM. Food being served from 5pm. Sarah and band performing until 11pm. All welcome.

Re: Inverhuron WATER/SEWER project vote deferred to Sept. 16 th Kincardine Council meeting Pros and cons need to be sorted out Having a meeting with an Engineering firm from Goderich regarding Lake Street North on Tuesday, Sept. 8 th /15 discuss what would it take to send water/sewer to Lake St. N. Council will try to work with people to find a way. He, Randy, will support INVERHURON PROVINCIAL PARK BILL THORNE No funding has come forward so far Park has had 90% occupancy this year Informed that there is grant money available for removing phragmite plants - Will talk to Sharon Cross after meeting BRUCE POWER - ROB LIDDLE Celebrating 14 th anniversary took over site in 2001 Providing 30 % electricity Public Hearings resulted in licence extension for 5 yrs to 2020 Implemented a Fire Training Facility, also being used by local Fire Department Giving out potassium tablets required by the Nuclear Safety Association Working with Radio Stations for emergency warnings FM alert units for tornado warnings/plant emergencies Working on improved cell reception Co-ordinating Noise surveys need residents to let us know when hearing noise to be able to establish a patterns of times of day/night, etc. For any information go to Bruce Power.com GRANT HOPCROFT - INVERHURON WATER/SEWER In July 2015 the Kincardine Council accepted to not proceed with this project and the file was closed unless another opportunity arose from other grants. It has. A new grant program by the Federal/Provincial Government can be applied for out of a $540M Fund to be shared for Small Community projects. Have 6 yrs to But need to apply by Sept. 30 th, The CAO Staff recommended to Council to apply for a grant for the Inverhuron project. At the Sept. 2nd council meeting, Councillors voted 6-3 against Councillors, Laura Haight, Maureen Couture and Andrew White presentation. The Mayor, initiated a vote for Connaught Park. Vote has been deferred to Sept. 16 th meeting and now is the time to make your feelings known. Look to Website to apply to be a delegate or make your voice known in some way. This needs a solution now.
6 IDRA MINUTES OF ANNUAL MEETING, SEPT. 5, 2015 PAGE 6 DALE PALIN DGR Inverhuron Committee formed 3 yrs ago to address concerns on waste being stored on shores of Lake Huron where we count on our water. Opposition committee research have found a high rate of failure globally which poses a great risk The conclusion was to approval for storing waste However, Safety Commission sighted more than 100 conditions to be met before implemented Final decision to be by early December, 2015 It now has become political with opposition mounting in U.S. sighting a 1909 boundary water issues between our two countries Don t want this move forward with recommended completion due to incomplete environmental Process DGR will be launching a law suit early 2016 in Federal Court We are hoping to make a change. Urge you to stay informed through our available website. LESLIE BARRETT SANDERSON NOISE Informed members that she was working with Bruce Power Staff on noise patterns.
