Meeting Minutes for 2/14/2016 Call To Order The York Rifle Range Association meeting for 2/14/2016 was called to order by President Doug Nace at 2:00 pm with 22 members present. Original meeting was to be held on 2/9/2016 but was postponed due to poor weather conditions. Pledge of allegiance was recited by the group Minutes of Last Meeting The minutes for the 1/12/2016 meeting were read by Recording Secretary Jeff Walters and were approved with no corrections. Dave Reihart motioned approval, seconded by George Himmelwright, approved by membership. Treasurer's Report Ken Kreiger, Treasurer, gave the Treasurer's report. See attachment #1. Financials will be audited at year end. Membership Secretary's Report Jim Jensen gave the membership report. See attachment #2 New prospective members were introduced. There are 9 juniors and 15 seniors that will be voted on at the next monthly meeting. Small Bore Report Greg Livingston gave the report. We had three matches since the last meeting, and we are still tied with Columbia. Next match will be away at North End which is near Allentown. ICRL league meeting will be on March 20th at Columbia F&G. Big Bore Report Fred Haag gave the report. Highpower clinic will be held on March 19, opening are still available for the clinic. We have about 10 volunteers to help out with the clinic. Junior Program Jeff Walters gave the report. Junior Air Rifle program is running smoothly. Averaging shooters each week. We ordered 4 more air rifles from the CMP and received them in less than a week. New air rifles did have some bugs but we got them worked out and are using them each week.

2 We cancelled during the blizzard, and will most likely cancel for 2/15/2016 due to weather concerns. A number of juniors in the program have signed up to become junior members of the club. Building and Grounds Member, Victor Probst & and his company, repaired the damage to the indoor range steel backstop. Indoor range will not, at this time, need to be closed down due to safety concerns. It will remain open until the new upgrades have been made later this year. Snow removal from the blizzard was a slight problem and we had to hire another contractor to clear the snow. Our regular snow removal crew did not have the equipment to handle the large amount of snow. Took 9 hours to clear out the snow, but since the crew were members of the club they did give a good rate and only charged $300 for the work. Thank you for the good work! List of projects discussed during the board meeting are as follows: Indoor range upgrades, new out buildings to store highpower and other equipment, remove and construct new roof over the benches on the highpower range, new sign and fencing at the entrance to the club, new door on the block house, and upgrade the electrical lighting in the garage and around the club grounds. Board of directors are getting bids for the projects. Legislative NRA is gearing up for the upcoming elections later this year. Get informed and consider your 2nd amendment rights during this election. Concern over the death of Justice Scalia. Rep. Keith Gillespie Is a member of the club and he is the head of the Fish and Game committee in Harrisburg, and he has been keeping us advised of pending legislation. Fourth Circuit Federal appeals court has reviewed Maryland's Assault weapons law and back to sent it back to the state to reconsider it because they found that is infringes on the 2nd amendment. Old Business Indoor range damage was addressed. Two holes were filled, two impacts almost went through, and a total of nine welds were made to repair damage to the steel backstop. There was some damage to the cinder block wall as well. Board of Directors are looking into going to a card reader system, similar to the gate and front door, to monitor who and when access is gained to the indoor range. It is hoped that this measure will help apprehend the member(s) who are causing the damage to the indoor range. New Business Friends of the NRA banquet will be held on March 4th at 5:30 PM. Tickets are $45 per person. A few of the members will be attending this year. Good or Welfare of the Club Hunter Trapper education will be held here at the club on June 4th 8am -3pm Adjournment Meeting adjourned at 2:35 pm.
