Representatives Chenault, Holmes, and Meyer were absent and their presence was noted later. Representative Samuels moved and asked unanimous consent that Representative Foster be excused from a call of the House each Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 1:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., for the remainder of the legislative session and special sessions. There being no objection, it was so ordered. The invocation was offered by the Chaplain, Mandy Schramm of Congregation Sukkat Shalom. Because of the significant contributions to the construction of the 1,522 mile long Alaska Highway during World War II by these soldiers, it is our intent that the Black Veterans Recognition Bridge be recognized as a significant point on the Purple Heart Trail on the Alaska Highway."
