Department of Engineering, Public Works & Facilities: LEW Corporation, Mountainside, New Jersey, to perform asbestos abatement at the Galloping Hill Service Yard in Kenilworth in the amount of $52,060. Amending Resolution No , a professional engineering service contract with T&M Associates, Middletown, New Jersey, for the construction administration and inspection services for the construction of a new weapons fire range at the existing facility in Springfield, New Jersey, in the amount of $59,805 for a new total contract amount of $133,805. Authorizing the County Manager to execute a joint funding agreement with the U.S. Department of Interior, U.S. Geological Survey, for the operations and maintenance of a Flood Monitoring System in the Lower Rahway River Basin for the period of September 30, 2009 through September 30, 2010 in the amount of $13,950. Amending Resolution No , to extend the construction date approved by the New Jersey Department of Transportation, Division of Local Aid, from October 1, 2009 to April 6, 2010, for realignment of the path due to wetland issues for the Lenape Park Bikeway. Amending Resolution No , to extend the construction date approved by the New Jersey Department of Transportation, Division of Local Aid, from December 1, 2009 to December 1, 2010, due to the deterioration of the bridge structure and the needed replacement of structural elements for the South Front Street Deck Replacement. Authorizing the County Manager to enter into a professional engineering service contract with CCMS, Colts Neck, New Jersey, for security system upgrades at Runnells Specialized Hospital in an amount not to exceed $96,600. Modifying the 2009 Union County Adopted Budget in the amount of $127,181 as a result of notification received from the State of New Jersey, Office of Homeland Security and Preparedness for a program entitled: FY07 Homeland Security Grant. Modifying the 2009 Union County Adopted Budget in the amount of $28,356 as a result of notification received from the State of New Jersey, Office of Homeland Security and Preparedness for a program entitled: FFY06 Urban Areas-Regional Fire-Neptune Project Grant. 3 DEPARTMENT OF HUMAN SERVICES Frank Guzzo, Director 1. Authorizing the County Manager to enter into a contract with Kanen Psychological Services, Ridgewood, New Jersey, to provide psychological evaluations for the Juvenile Detention Center staff candidates for the period of July 1, 2009 through December 31, 2009, at a cost of $250 per evaluation, for a total amount not to exceed $10,000. {Local funding: $10,000} (FREEHOLDER KOWALSKI) 2. Amending Resolution Number , a lease agreement with Morningstar Community Development Urban Renewal Corporation, Linden, New Jersey, to extend the lease for an additional two (2) one year periods for a total amount not to exceed $153,708. {Local funding: $153,708} (FREEHOLDER KOWALSKI) DEPARTMENT OF PARKS AND COMMUNITY RENEWAL Alfred Faella, Director 1. Authorizing the County Manager to apply for a NJDEP Recycling Enhancement Bonus Grant in the amount of $237,800, to purchase a County recycling truck, several recycling education initiatives and an outreach program directed at enhancing recycling at multi-family housing and commercial institutions. {State funding: $237,800}(FREEHOLDER KOWALSKI) 2. Authorizing the County Manager to expend program income funds to the Union County Home Improvement Program in the amount of $263,000 and three HUD certified counseling agencies in the amount of $100,000 for a total amount of $363,000. (FREEHOLDER VAN BLAKE) 3. Authorizing the County Manager to endorse the Five Year and Annual PHA Plan for the Union County Housing Assistance Payment Program. (FREEHOLDER VAN BLAKE) DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC SAFETY Chief Daniel Vaniska, Acting Director 1. Authorizing the County Manager to apply for, accept and expend a New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection, County Environmental Health Act (CEHA) Supplemental Grant in the amount of $22,632. This CEHA supplemental grant will maintain the County s air pollution investigation and inspection programs. Authorizing the County Manager to accept and expend a New Jersey Office of Homeland Security Grant to fund the services of the Urban Area Security Initiative (UASI) Public Health Sub Committee for a twelve month time period in the amount of $10,000. (CHAIRMAN MIRABELLA) 3. Authorizing the County Manager to accept $127, from the New Jersey Office of Office of Homeland Security and Preparedness. These dollars reflect 2007 grant money that was retained by the State on our behalf and not spent. {Federal funding: $127,181.12}(CHAIRMAN MIRABELLA) 4. Authorizing the County Manager to enter into a contract with Kidde Fire Fighting, Exton, Pennsylvania, to repair and upgrade the Neptune Fire Fighting Pump in the amount of $28, {Federal funding: $28,355.72} (CHAIRMAN MIRABELLA) RUNNELLS SPECIALIZED HOSPITAL Joseph Sharp, Administrator 1. Authorizing the County Manager to enter into a contract with Rabbi Moshe A. Abramowitz, Elizabeth, New Jersey, to provide religious services the Jewish residents/patients at Runnells Specialized Hospital for the period of November 1, 2009 through October 31, 2010 in the amount of $6,000. Coles, Plainfield, New Jersey, to provide religious services for the Protestant residents/patients at Runnells Specialized Hospital for the period of November 1, 2009 through October 31, 2010 in the amount of $8,000. Amending Resolution , to increase the appropriation to Bauch Zucker Hatfield, LLC, Springfield, New Jersey, special counsel in the matter entitled Robert Travisano v. UC, et als for an additional sum of $10,000 for a new total contract amount not to exceed $110,000. (CHAIRMAN MIRABELLA) 3. Amending Resolution , to increase the appropriation to LaCorte, Bundy, Varady & Kinsella, Union, New Jersey, special counsel in the matter entitled Paul Takacs v. Amending Resolution , to increase the appropriation to Bauch Zucker Hatfield, LLC, Springfield, New Jersey, special counsel in the matter entitled Richard Rodbart v.
