Discussed changes in the club structure to promote attendance, perhaps changes to the constitution that will improve the club - maybe thru mandatory participation in three events or increase membership dues and rebate with participation. Treasurer report: $134.03in/$609.77out. Meeting adjourned 9:32pm. Gloucester County Amateur Radio Club General Membership Meeting November 05, 1997 Meeting called to order by Bob, KR2U at 8:08pm with 23 members in attendance. Pledge of Allegiance. Call changes: Bob WA2UDO to KR2U; Tony KA2FFS to KG2MY. The minutes of the last meeting read and approved. Treasurer reported $3, in, $ out. Meeting location changed to library in January - motioned passed. First meeting at 7pm on the first Tuesday of the month. Doug/WA2NPD informed membership that Mark Wilson appreciated honorary membership and hopefully will accept during February meeting. Nominations: Rich Munion must decline the nomination for Vice president due to health problems. During floor nominations - Harry/AA2WN, Gene/N2IMK & Art/KA2DOT for Vice president - Gene/AA2YO additional nomination for director (besides list in Crosstalk) - Mel/W2NM, Ray/WB2LNR, Tony/KG2MY & Bob/KB2EAH for Trustee (besides list in Crosstalk). Doug/WA2NPD, Lou/W2LYL, Jack/K2ZA are appointed as election committee. Crosstalk needs a new editor as of January or its form will change into a web based publication. 17

18 440 repeater will go up onto the water tower by year end (if weather allows) and cable replaced on 2M and 440. John/K2JF appealed to members to participate in the 10M contest. Club site winterization this weekend and next - please all help. Meeting adjourned at 9:02pm. Minutes prepared by John Schumacher KB2VXC Recording Secretary. Gloucester County Amateur Radio Club Board of Directors Meeting November 19, 1997 Meeting was suspended due to illness. Gloucester County Amateur Radio Club General Membership Meeting December 3, 1997 No meeting minutes recorded. Gloucester County Amateur Radio Club Board of Directors Meeting December 17, 1997 Meeting began at 8:09pm with Mel W2NM/Bob KB2EAH/John K2JF/Bob KR2U/A1 KB2AYU/John KB2VXC/Harry AA2WN/Art KA2DOT/Jack KA7LAX/Jim KC2AOF in attendance. Last month's meeting was suspended due to illness. Arrange meeting with 4-H to deliver payment for the Explorers ($500), which is more than the 10% indicated on post-it note from 4-H - Bob KR2U will contact Lenny of Explorers. Badge issue still unresolved because printer had not answered KR2U whether he had stock for the silent key, past president or Milt Goldman badges - John K2JF will check 12/19/97. The Entertainment book issue is considered closed because the company needed to produce the contracts signed by the club and had not done so as of 12/17/97 - Note it was the club's desire to see how the contracts were signed... did Marla sign as individual or as President. Bob KR2U ordered manuals on the trailer alarm system in the hopes of programming and issuing new codes - plus Al was looking into modern upgrades to warn us of temperature change or motion. Treasurer report $26.56 in/$ out. Letters will be mailed to ARRL to invite Mark Wilson to accept his honorary membership at the February meeting. Crosstalk needs a new editor or it becomes a web based publication - need to determine who really wants Crosstalk and by what means can we get it to them (mail, or p-u at meeting) - will redouble effort to collect addresses. Al will review chairpersons and ask those for another year of service. 18
