1 Meeting called to order at 5:33 pm by Kane SYHA Board Meeting September 20, :30 pm Tri State Valuation Members Present: Kane, Pittenger, Monell, Vaydich, Patefield, Slagle, DeVries, Lukehart Absent: Augustine, Anderson, Newman Guests: Paul Fehl, Kimberly Heberer, Kathy Droegmiller Minutes: August minutes were presented and approved. Monell motioned, Lukehart 2 nd. Registrar: Currently there are 171 registered. Members broken out by level were ed to board members 9/18/17 for review. Treasurer: Vaydich resigned as of 9/7/17 via . Currently each travel account as well as main account are being reviewed. Kane motioned that Pittenger take the treasurer role and Anderson take on the Secretary role. All approve. Travel Jerseys: Order is being taken in. Squirt White numbers are not coming in as we thought and they are short some players. We need a solution for this so they are equipped to have successful season. A request for 3 09 move ups. We need to look at planning for this upcoming season for this. We have to be sure to follow our move up policy. The head mite coach would need to evaluate. A date would need to be set, all people must be notified and all evaluators need to be there to evaluate. Jesse motions that we have an ABB format with teaming. Discussion: Lukehart likes ABC format but it is hard as it has been set up as ABB currently. Sam: Would have liked this to come up prior to try outs Darren: Nothing Kane: Opinion is based on history of ABB format and it has been successful on her son s own team. She has seen tremendous growth in them as players. Patefield: Agree that it is hard to change teams now. Does not agree with the ABB format. Pittenger: Agree that it is hard to change teams now. Do not agree with the ABB format. 5 in favor, 2 appose for the ABB format for this year. Ice Scheduler: Calendar is being updated.

2 Referee Bills: Nothing to report Membership/Recruitment/Retention: New Skater Sunday, September 24, 2017 from On October 7 there will be the girls hockey event. Risk Management: Safesport (Pittenger, Lukehart, Newman). Web Page: Nothing to report Tournament Committee: Nothing to report. Patefield is in contact with Sioux Falls so we will not be on the same weekend. Hockey Operations: IP, ACE, Payer Development: Nothing to report Hockey Operations: Nothing to report Camps and Clinics: Nothing at this time. Equipment/Puck Stop: Nothing to report Coaching Committee: Nothing to report Coaching Education: All modules will need to be done by coaches before taking the ice. They also will have to have their consent to screen and Safe sport complete. Modules are currently open. Coaching registration on our NGIN website is open. House League: Coordinators/Treasurers: Names are currently being taken for approval. Referees: Training was to be the past Sunday, September 17, We needed to have more participants and they are rescheduling and Cody Clark will get us those dates. Jerseys: Patefield, Pittenger, Newman will work on sponsors. Currently 2 confirmed. Year End Tournament: Nothing to report Puck Stop and Equipment: Nothing to report Patches, Awards, and Bars: Nothing to report IP House League: Nothing to report Tykes: Nothing to report Travel Teams: Jerseys: Order is being handled through our web store. Spreadsheets: Requirements to turn in the spreadsheets and proposed budgets will be put in place. If spreadsheets are not turned in the team will not take ice.

Musketeers Relations: Slagle spoke to Strand and he will be having players come to work at Tyke level. Fundraising: Greens: Packets Pick up Pancake Day: Pancake Day will be on October 28, Pinney and Swanson have joined the committee. TEC Concessions: Volunteers are currently completing consent to screens. Musketeer Flex Tickets: Packs of 10 if you would like to buy extra tickets will be available. Jr. Musketeer Apparel: Store is being build for proposal. SYHA is willing to commit The bid proposed is through Pflanz. If voted in it will not be in until Thanksgiving. Pittenger motioned to approve up to $ to add toward the speaker and audio equipment for the city. Slagle second. All approve. Internet: The need is that Metros and SYHA games are able to be streamed as well as us having games in the lobby. 10x10 megapixal is $75.00 per month by Fibercomm. 15x15 is Cable one charges $300 run the line to the building.
