The deadline for submitting Nomination Petitions was Monday, September 20, In the election for the Eighth Seat, Alternate Retired Member, only one' candidate, David Safer, submitted nomination papers and was certified by the ACERA El,ections Official. Pursuant to Government Code section 31523, as well as ACERA's Board Election Policy, should one candidate be certified for a designated seat, the Board of Supervisors shall order that no election be held and shall direct the clerk to cast a unanimous ballot in favor of such nominated member. ACERA requests that the Board of Supervisors direct the Clerk of the Board of Supervisors to cast a unanimous ballot in favor of David Safer for the position of Eighth Member of the ACERA Board of Retirement. Please present this information to the Board of Supervisors at their next available meeting and forward a copy of the Board of Supervisors' Minute Order to me in the enclosed selfaddressed, OIC Code envelope.
