Subscribes to the objectives of the FOKANA constitution and by laws. f. Agrees to pay the prescribed membership dues upon admission to the federation. g. Tampa, FL Rules for FOKANA General Election 2018 FOKANA General election 2018 will be held on Friday July 6th, 2018 at Valley Forge Convention Center, st Ave, King of Prussia, PA l O All nominations should be in the prescribed form published by the FOKANA Election committee. Deadline to renew Association and Payment of Renewal fee is May 6th, Deadline for nomination is May 21st, All individual can be nominated for one position only. All nominees must be representative of the member association/members at large Candidate should submit a nomination fee along with his/her nomination form.the fee as follows Presidential candidates $500, Candiates for the board of trustees, General Secretary, Executive Vice Presidents, Women's forum chairperson and Treasurer are $250 each. For all other positions are $150 or equivalent Canadian dollars made payable to FOKANA along with his/ her nomination. In case the candidate withdraws his/her nomination in writing by June 4th 2018 the nomination fee shall be refunded All members of the organization have to submit a copy of their 2017 or 2018 membership lists with the address and telephone numbers, signed by the president or secretary. All members of the general council must carry a picture ID for verification. Candidates contesting as regional vice presidents should be a representative from a member organization of that respective region Regional Vice presidents should be elected only by the representatives of that region including current president and immediate past president of the organization. The president /secretary /treasurer of the associations or members at large should nominate the candidates. Two out of the three of the above officials should sign the nomination form.

If this renewal packet is received by previous year's officials, please give to current officials. All elections are conducted by secret ballot Any nominations received after due date of May 21st 2018 will be disqualified. Only representative from member organization who has paid the membership dues and renewed their membership as required, will be allowed to attend general council meeting or participate in the election. All representatives have to be present at the general council to exercise their voting rights. No proxy voting or postal voting will be allowed Last date for withdrawing any nomination shall be Monday June 4th, Election committee shall not be responsible for delay or loss of mail Decision of the election committee shall be final and binding There shall not be any change of the representative /delegate after Saturday June 16th, 2018 A member association can't nominate more than 2 positions for the election of the national committee and the board of trustees. A member association can't forward more than one nomination for a particular position for the election of the national committee and the Board of Trustees (As per article X, Section 5, 8) Candidates contesting for the position of President, General Secretary, and Board of Trustees must have served at least one term in the FOKANA National Committee or Board of Trustees.
