State Assembly Majority Leader Ian Calderon made his endorsement of former Assembly Member Gordon for BOE by releasing the following statement: "Rich Gordon is one of the most grounded, principled and dedicated leaders I've had the pleasure of serving with in the state legislature. Prior to his time in the Assembly, Gordon was a Member of the San Mateo County Board of Supervisors from 1997 to He also served as the former chairman of the Redwood City-San Mateo County Chamber of Commerce. Gordon earned his B.A. in Sociology from the University of Southern California in 1970 and his Master's of Divinity from the Garrett Theological Seminary at Northwestern University in His professional experience includes working as executive director of Youth and Family Assistance, as a member of the San Mateo County Board of Education from 1992 to 1997 and as president of the California State Association of Counties in ### Paid for by Gordon for Board of Equalization.
