2 HALO! Halo Design is functional lighting founded on more than 20 years of experience, and an equal passion for technology, knowledge and aesthetics. Halo Design was started by Michael Waltersdorff, who at the age of 18 founded the company Halo Tech based on a very democratic idea: creating lighting based on modern technology and functional design solutions that everyone can relate to. Michael Waltersdorff is still as entrepreneurial and fascinated by light today as he was back then, with a passion for lamps where the consumer has a say in relation to the lighting and a passion for materials and alternative methods for expressing the quality of the material. 2 3 Today, Halo Design is a fast growing lighting brand. A new name, an updated visual design and the goal of working with many more Danish and European designers all come together to make Halo Design s flexible and inclusive collection. The collection today includes lamps designed by Michael Waltersdorff and Tom Stepp and is aimed at both formal and private interior design. Two brands have become a part of Halo Design; EL-Light and Colors, both known for their recognizable and functional lighting, and both now appearing in Halo Design s collection with selected and updated lamps.
