13 2 o Project: 2 nd National Encounter A Stronger Mexico: Pillars of Positive Peace When: February 2019, two-three days training. Where: Puebla, Mexico Direct beneficiaries: 200 youth, 18 to 30 years old coming from all over the country, engaged with their community and with the capacity to create an impact to achieve palpable, substantive improvements. General structure: Selection & Preparation. Conferences, Dynamics & Trainings. Follow-up Core Topic: Pillars of Positive Peace Core Partners: Rotary and the Institute for Economics and Peace Proponent: RC Puebla Centro Histórico. Rotary Partners: RD 4185 (Mx) / RD-5495 (AZ, USA) 2017 Grant Cost in Dollars: 100 thousand dollars 2019 Grant Cost in Dollars: 70 thousand dollars Expected procurement from this Conference: 15 thousand dollars Resources allow: hosting, food & transportation (airplane, interstate and local buses, logistics & academic planning, monitoring and evaluation, trainers, venue. 13
14 2 o General Chronogram: Autumn 2017: Initial Proposal of the Global Grant Spring 2018: Consolidation of the Rotary Partners to secure financing Spring to Autumn 2018: a) Academic & Integral Planning. This planning also includes indeed the implementation of the 1 st Impact Stage, which involves the proper recruitment of participants and the previous work with them to maximize the potential of their training. It also includes de selection and training of trainers. b) Monitoring and Evaluation Previous to the Encounter. It helps to identify the participants abilities, knowledge and aptitudes, so to give direction to the training. c) Promotion and Communications. Development of media communications for the Encounter. d) Logistic Management. Choosing the venue and cost negotiation for hotels, transport, food, etc. Spring 2019 (February) : a) Main event. 2 nd Impact Stage: the actual training of the participants. February- September 2019 : a) Academic & Comprehensive Follow-up. This includes the 3 rd Impact Stage, which includes the subsequent work with the participants to secure the operation of knowledge. b) Subsequent Monitoring and Evaluation. This allows to verify the achievement of objectives and to take adjustment measures to assure the attainment of the goals before the closing of the grant. October 2019: Final Report of the Grant 14
