Pre-spaced fabricated letters to be highway gothic D series with letter height 6 inches with a 2 inch stroke width. Letters fabricated from must be pre-masked with SCPM-3. *FHP is to be spaced on a carrier tape 12 x 6 1/2. The backing sheet must be fully removed from each letter before pre-spacing. 6 DHSMV ITB FHP DECALS QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS All written questions are reproduced in the same format as submitted by the Bidder. Question(s) from Graphic Designs International Inc. 1. Question: Will the successful Bidder/Contractor be supplied with workable artwork files, i.e. Vector or applicable type files, and or actual samples of each item to use prior to submission of proofs? Answer: Yes. The artwork will be provided in the following format: Current file type is Jpeg and samples are available. Samples will be provided one (1) week after bid has been awarded. 2. Question: Section 1.1 PURPOSE, states all 14 decals are to be printed on reflexive "removable" adhesive material. We noticed that Decals #1,2,7 are listed with 3M 680, which is the permanent adhesive. Are these decals, in fact, supposed to be printed on 3M 680CR, which is the removable adhesive? Answer: The 3M reference number is correct. See Addendum No.1, Item No Question: Decal ITEM #13 Rear Vehicle Bumper Conspicuity Tape Decal (pg.21) - what is the material specs for this decal? Answer: See Addendum No. 1, Item No. 3. The size is custom as appropriate to the vehicles in the Department s fleet. Currently, FHP mainly utilizes Dodge Chargers, Ford PI Utility Vehicles (Explorer), and Chevy Tahoes. However, older cars dating to 2008 are still operating with the fleet. The vendor should obtain rear bumper dimensions from the respective vehicle manufacturer s website and/or printed materials. Question(s) from PRIDE 4. Question: On items #3, #4, #5, #6, #8, and #12, your specifications call for 3M screen printing inks and UV transparent ink. Would digital solvent based inks with high performance 8 year UV over-lamination be acceptable? Answer: No. A prospective vendor must bid as specified in the ITB.
