1 Freedom of Information Request Reference No: I note you seek access to the following information: Having ascertained that at least two police officers have been deployed to Hyde Park Winter Wonderland so far this year under the terms of a special service agreement, I would like to receive: 1. A breakdown of how much PWR Events has paid to the Metropolitan Police for police support at the Hyde Park Winter Wonderland event each year for the past 3 years (2014, 2015, and 2016), under the terms of Section 25 of the Police Act (1996); 2. An account of the number of arrests made at Hyde Park Winter Wonderland during the event each year for the past 3 years (2014, 2015, and 2016 to date), with an indication of the offences involved; The relevant dates are as follows: 24th November th January th November rd January th November nd January 2017 DECISION I have today decided to disclose the located information to you in full. A breakdown of how much PWR Events has paid to the Metropolitan Police for police support at the Hyde Park Winter Wonderland event each year for the past 3 years (2014, 2015, and 2016), under the terms of Section 25 of the Police Act (1996) PWR Events has paid the Metropolitan Police the following amounts under Section 25 of the Police Act 1996 for police support at the Hyde Park Winter Wonderland event: Nil, Nil, ,605.60
2 The MPS's ability to charge for events within the Royal Parks had been restricted by the terms of a legacy grant agreement. Following negotiations, the MPS is now able to charge event organisers for additional resources above those funded by way of the grant. The charges made in 2016 are therefore reflective of the terms of the funding agreement and relate to the provision of additional police services above that provided under its funded policing responsibilities on the land owned, leased or under the event organisers control. The charges made to PWR Events in respect of Hyde Park Winter Wonderland were for policing services on land specifically under the control of PWR Events during the operation of Winter Wonderland. An account of the number of arrests made at Hyde Park Winter Wonderland during the event each year for the past 3 years (2014, 2015, and 2016 to date), with an indication of the offences involved; MPS response: Please find attached information pursuant to your request above. Please ensure that the data is read in conjunction with the notes page of the attached spreadsheet so that the data is interpreted correctly. Data returned relates to records obtained where the 'place of arrest' field contained any reference to the winter Wonderland event: Arrests at Hyde Park Winter Wonderland 2014/15 to 2016/17, please refer to the attached document.
