With respect to water assignments, this administrative order simply confirms the status quo. The Water Judge is appointed by the Chief Justice, and the Water Judge has the authority to make assignments in

5 5 water cases. Note 2: Sitting as a District Judge by order of the Chief Judge, Judge Pototsky will conduct a docket in Glenwood Springs on 3 Fridays per month. He will preside over the child support enforcement docket for any 9 th Judicial District case when the hearing is scheduled in Garfield County. For Garfield County matters, he will also preside over uncontested dissolution proceedings, petitions to seal criminal records, contempt advisements in DR cases, simple replevin proceedings, name changes and adoptions. In addition to the Friday dockets, throughout the District, Judge Pototsky will preside over uncontested Rule 120 proceedings which do not require a hearing. District Judges may refer the following motions to Judge Pototsky for his determination: CV and DR motions of any kind if designated as unopposed, motions for extension of time, and motions for default judgment. If Judge Pototsky determines the complexity of a particular matter, the time necessary for a particular proceeding, the needs of his County Court docket or other reasons make a matter inappropriate for his determination, Judge Pototsky shall refer the issue to the District Judge presiding over the case. Note 3: All Garfield JD matters shall be assigned to Judge Metzger as the presiding judge and shall designate a District Judge as the alternate judge. The alternate judge shall be designated on a basis to Judges Boyd, Lynch, Petre and Neiley. Sitting as a District Judge by order of the Chief Judge, Judge Metzger shall preside over the JD docket for all Garfield County JD matters. If Judge Metzger determines it appropriate because of his County Court duties or for other reasons in a particular case, he may direct a JD case to the assigned alternate judge if a matter needs to be set for trial. Rio Blanco CV, DR and PR Cases: These cases will be assigned as filed on a basis to the District Judges hearing these cases. Without regard to the Judge of assignment, routine matters or short hearings which may be heard on a regular Meeker docket day shall be set on the docket day as time permits and shall be heard by Judge Neiley. All DR matters throughout the district shall be directed initially to the family court facilitator. The family court facilitator shall continue to oversee all DR pre-hearing matters to the extent of the facilitator s authority unless otherwise directed in a particular case by the presiding judge. The Magistrate may also hear such other matters as permitted by C.R.M. 6 and statute and as may from time to time be assigned to her by the Chief Judge. Done on August 14, 2013.
