12 International Criminal Court (ICC) International Criminal Court (ICC) The International Criminal Court (ICC or ICCt) was established in 2002 ( Rome Statute, based in the Hague) as a permanent tribunal to prosecute individuals for genocide, crimes against humanity, war crimes, and the crime of aggression, although it cannot currently exercise jurisdiction over the crime of aggression. 106 nations have become parties to the Statue. 13 International Criminal Tribunals for former Yugoslavia (ICTY) and Rwanda (ICTR) ICTY is a body of the UN established to prosecute serious crimes committed during the wars in the former Yugoslavia, and to try their alleged perpetrators. The Tribunal is an ad-hoc court and is located in The Hague in the Netherlands.
