6 Capacity Training Sessions: Meet a mentor Peter Taylor-Gooby (WelfSoc), Professor of Social Policy at the University of Kent s School of Social Policy, Sociology and Social Research, is author or editor of more than twenty-three books, including New Paradigms in Public Policy; Reframing Social Citizenship; New Risks, New Welfare: The Transformation of the European Welfare State; European Welfare Futures; Public Opinion, Ideology and State Welfare, a number of which have been published by Oxford University Press, including the forthcoming WSF Book After Austerity, and most recently, two novels. He will conduct a mentoring session on: write a book proposal Stein Kuhnle (FPRWS), Professor of Comparative Politics at the University of Bergen, has participated in a large number of international projects, including Towards a new Chinese welfare state: Chinese perceptions of distributive justice, Sino-Nordic Welfare Research Network (SNoW), The Russian Welfare State under Quadruple Influence: Stability or Conflict? He will conduct a mentoring session on: conduct international cooperation with a global reach Anja Neundorf (4I s), Associate Professor in Politics and Research Methods at the School of Politics and International Relations at the University of Nottingham is Associate Editor of Political Studies, and has published articles in Acta Politica, the British Journal of Political Science, Electoral Studies, the Journal of Politics, Party Politics, Political Behavior, Public Opinion Quarterly, and Social Forces. She will conduct a mentoring session on: publish an article in a high-impact journal Wim van Oorschot (WelfSoc Cooperation Partner), Professor of Social Policy at the Department of Leuven University is co-founder and honorary president of ESPAnet, the Network for European Social Policy Analysis, and Principal Investigator of twenty-eight projects, including Comparative welfare state analysis with social survey based benefit recipiency data, Welfare Attitudes in a Changing Europe: module in the 4th wave (2008) of the European Social Survey, and European Data Centre for Work and Welfare. 7 Lennart Nygren (FASCK), Professor in the Department of Social Work at Umeå University, cooperates extensively with stakeholders in the fields of child welfare state social work. In his current project, collaboration is taking place with local public service providers in eight countries, including cooperation partners in Bulgaria, Chile, Ireland, Lithuania and Mexico. He will conduct a mentoring session on: reach out to stakeholders and foster utilization Claus Wendt (HiNews), Professor of the Sociology of Health and Health Systems at the University of Siegen and External Fellow of the Mannheim Center for European Social Research at the University of Mannheim, has been Principal Investigator of many projects, as well as Kennedy and Harkness Fellow at Harvard University, and a member of the EQUALSOC Network of Excellence and the Collaborative Research Centers The Political Economy of Reform and Transformations of the State at the universities of Mannheim and Bremen, respectively. He is the engaged father of two children. He will conduct a mentoring session on: combine work and family in a competitive and international environment
