1 OTTAWA CHINESE COMMUNITY SERVICE CENTRE (OCCSC) 7th ANNUAL FUNDRAISING GALA CORPORATE SPONSORSHIP PACKAGE Join us today to help newcomers & Syrian Refugees integrate into Canadian society i
2 About Us WHO WE ARE The Ottawa Chinese Community Service Centre (OCCSC) is a non-profit, non-partisan, charitable organization committed to advancing the full social and economic integration and participation of newcomers, immigrants, in the City of Ottawa since OCCSC is one of Ottawa s longestserving and most comprehensive immigrant serving agencies. OCCSC started with helping Chinese immigrants, now we serve newcomers from over 105 different nationalities. Our charity number is RR0001. From 2010, we have resettled 21,416 newcomers. OUR PROGRAMS & SERVICES Settlement services Information about community services and referrals Pre-arrival services Citizenship classes LINC classes Community-based programs Maple2.0 - a pan-canadian initiative Volunteer opportunities Mentorship opportunities NEW THIS YEAR Employment workshops and information Labour market integration Child minding service Seniors program Mental health counselling Accounting and taxation services Staffing solutions Cross-cultural competency training Networking opportunities Alternative careers OCCSC decided to respond to Canada s commitment to resettle Syrian refugees even without the help of any additional resources. Our existing services are open to Syrian refugees; however, due to their special needs, we have launched the Services for Syrian Refugees Program (SSRP) in June In just a few months, we have reached out to 100 families, organized a welcome party on August 21, hosted several workshops, and provided translation and interpretation services. We are now seeking funding to continue to respond to their needs. The program coordinator for SSRP program is Hassan Ezdahmad, he can provide more details and follow up with you. WHY SUPPORT OCCSC Your opportunity to be associated with thousands of new Canadians each year A fantastic opportunity to establish brand awareness with all newcomers in Ottawa Reaching your target market our clients (especially Chinese immigrants/investors and high profile multicultural skilled workers) are financially stable and tend to be loyal customers. Show your company s social responsibility and commitment to Ottawa's cultural and ethnic diversity by resettling all newcomers and Syrian refugees The funds raised will be directed towards helping new immigrants and Syrian Refugees integrate economically and socially into Canadian society. Due to the increase in demand for newcomer services, your support is now more important than ever!
