1 2017 ALBERTA INTEGRATION SUMMIT PROGRAM October 30th to November 1st, 2017 Coast Plaza Hotel Calgary
2 2017 Alberta Integration Summit Dear Attendees, It is our sincere pleasure to welcome you to the 2017 Alberta Integration Summit funded by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada () and hosted by the Alberta Association of Immigrant Serving Agencies (AAISA). This year, the Summit brings together settlement service provider organizations, as well as others who work closely with immigrants and refugees, on current issues facing the settlement and integration sector in Alberta. The goal of this Summit is to create a space where service providers can broaden partnerships across the settlement and integration sector to share knowledge and best practices which will create positive settlement outcomes for refugees, immigrants, and newcomers. Each day of the event is focused on a different aspect of newcomers experience in Canada. Over the three days, you will have the opportunity to learn about resettlement, settlement and integration during a variety of plenaries, panels, presentations and group discussions. We would like to thank all participants, advisory committee members, volunteers, and staff for contributing their time and expertise to this event. This annual gathering is a true testament to the power of collaboration in our sector. Sincerely, Erick Ambtmanan, AAISA Chair Milton Alfonso Ortega AAISA Executive Director Alberta Integration Summit
