1 PORTUGAL On behalf of UniGroup Relocation, we will be coordinating the shipment of your goods to. To simplify the process, we have outlined the necessary steps to ensure a smooth transition. This will also review your responsibilities in assisting with this process. In addition to the points below, the following pages will outline the requirements, which will be facilitated by our local representative to complete the clearance. They will assist with each item specific to your shipment so please be assured they will do whatever is necessary to facilitate a quick and efficient clearance. The documentation process, for example, passports, visas, power of attorney, etc., can take one week to 14 days plus the transportation airfreight seven to 21 days / weeks and ocean six to eight weeks, depending on the origin. It is extremely important that you take a few moments to review these important requirements, as they will allow us to process the release of your personal property through foreign customs. Customs and immigration requirements are established by the country of import and not by UniGroup Relocation. This guide has been designed to assist clients understand and comply with country-specific requirements. Substantial effort has been made to ensure that the information provided is current and correct. Such regulations, however, are subject to change without notice by the country of import. UniGroup Relocation assumes no liability for changes in the law or interpretation by enforcement personnel as it exists at the time you and/or your goods enter the country. Visa Requirements Details Please advise your local representative or UniGroup Relocation Representative of the Type of passport or visa you will be travelling under (working visa, temporary visa, diplomatic, etc.)when moving to, some specific documents will be required in order to satisfy local immigration officials. *Contact address and telephone number must be listed on all documents. Required Documents Tourists/Visitors Airport Transit Visa Transit Visa Details Nationals of Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Dem. Rep. Congo, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Ghana, Iraq, Iran, Nigeria, Pakistan, Somalia, Sri Lanka, Liberia and Senegal. Copy of the transportation ticket for the country of final destination. Evidence that the passenger is in possession of the appropriate entry visa for the country of destination. Requirements for Transit Visa: For Transit Visa the applicant must have confirmed booking for the country of destination. Evidence that the passenger is in possession of the appropriate entry visa for the country of destination. To join the ship the applicant must submit CDC card, fax or letter from the shipping company or agent in, declaration from the 'Port Authorities' regarding the arrival of ship. Effective: Octt. 24,
2 Short Stay Schengen Visa Travel medical insurance (coverage of Euros/minimum and valid for all Schengen states) A person traveling to on a business or tourist trip may receive a visa for a stay of 1 to 90 days valid for all the 15 countries: Austria, Belgium, France, Germany, Greece, Italy, Luxembourg, The Netherlands,, Spain & Finland, Iceland, Sweden, Denmark, Norway. There is no legal right to a short stay visa. A visa is issued solely at the discretion of the authorities of the Schengen-member states and is not a guarantee to access the Schengen territories, since the final authorization remains within the competence of the immigration officer at the border. Applicant may obtain a uniform visa at the Embassy of the Schengen country where the main purpose of the travel lies. In case of a tourist visit through several Schengen countries and in the absence of a main destination, the application should be made at the Embassy of the country of first port of entry in the Schengen zone. Temporary Residency Temporary stay Visa Documents required for Short Stay Schengen Visa: 1 Application form with a recent photograph. Original Passport valid for at least 3 months longer than the intended stay. No visa will be issued on the additional pages of a passport. Proof of sufficient funds to cover all expenses while in - Foreign Currency, Travelers Cheques, Credit Cards or Sponsorship Letter (Termo da Responsabilidade), with the proper identification of the sponsor like photocopies of his/her Passport/Identity Card/ Residence Permit. Confirmed onward/return travel ticket & Hotel Reservation voucher. Notification/invitation to attend meetings, seminars and conference. For medical treatment in public or officially recognized health institutions: Medical report corroborated by the home country s public health authority. Document confirming that the applicant has guarantee of admission or ambulatory treatment in a duly certified public or private health institution. To accompany family members holding a study, work or temporary stay visa: Documentary evidence of the claimed family relationship (Spouse, dependent children under the age of 18 years or disabled, minors adopted by the applicant or his/her spouse and whose adoption is recognized in, first-degree relatives in the direct ascending line of the applicant or his/her spouse, where they are dependent on them, and brothers under age and under legal guardianship, recognized in ) and document stating the purpose of the Effective: Octt. 24,

International Health Insurance (Overseas Mediclaim Policy) covering hospitalization, medical assistance and repatriation for medical reasons is must w.e.f. 1/6/2004. The Minimum coverage: ,00 Euros (Thirty Thousand Euros). Residence Visa Foreign national intending to practice an independent/learned professional activity, through a document confirming that he is qualified to practice that occupation in (declaration of enrollment in the respective Professional Association, when required). Business Visa 1 Application form with a recent photograph. Original Passport valid for at least 3 months longer than the intended stay. No visa will be issued on the additional pages of a passport. Proof of sufficient funds to cover all expenses while in - Foreign Currency, Travelers Cheques, Credit Cards or Sponsorship Letter (Termo da Responsabilidade), with the proper identification of the sponsor like photocopies of his/her Passport/Identity Card/ Residence Permit. The applicant must submit covering letter and profile of the firm, formal letter of invitation and other correspondence showing prior dealings with the Portuguese counterpart. Work Visa The entrance in Portuguese territory to its bearer for the exercise of temporary professional activity Allows (maximum of 3 years): Work I, sport Work II, scientific inquiry Work III, rendering of services Effective: Octt. 24,
4 Work IV, subordinated professional activity Requirements for Work I & II: Employment contract promise signed for both the parts Requirements for Work III: Contract of comprovativo and rendering of services of that if the one finds qualified to exert the activity that if relates the rendering of services Employees Work Visa Students Study Visa Requirements for Work IV: Employment contract preceded of communication for the employer, to the IEFP, of the existence of offers of job and to seem favorable of the General Inspecção of Trabalho (IGT). Requirements for Work Visa: 2 forms with 2 photographs. Valid passport and photocopies of its relevant pages. Police Clearance Certificate. Medical Certificate. Work Contract duly signed by both the parties. Receipt of 'Inspecção-Geral de Trabalho' along with a letter from 'Instituto de Emprego e Formação Profissional' with the ROT NO. attributed to the file. Proof of sufficient funds. Medical Insurance: (Minimum Coverage Euro30.000, Minimum validity 6 months.) Documentary proof of professional/educational/technical qualifications. Requirements for Study Visa: 2 forms with 2 photographs. Valid passport and photocopies of its relevant pages. Police Clearance Certificate. Medical Certificate. Proof of having been admitted to a course of study/research work/training program in a recognized University/Institute. Proof of sufficient funds to cover all expenses during the stay in : Self supporting means or documentary proof that the applicant is a beneficiary of scholarship/grant sponsored by the Portuguese authorities. Documentary proof of Educational/Professional qualifications. Proof of accommodation. Medical Insurance (minimum coverage Euros & minimum Effective: Octt. 24,

Documents Requirements Details PERSONAL & HOUSEHOLD GOODS Required documents to import personal & household goods: Required Documents Passport Visa Certificate of change of residence Registration Declaration of Ownership Certificado de Bagagem (Certificate of Luggage) Comprehensive Inventory Valued Inventory Atestado de Residencia (Domicile Certificate) Proof of application for Work Permit E.E.C. Declaration Work contract Details Original, valid passport stamped with entrance date which must be within 1 year of shipment s arrival. Registration with local police. Signed and notarized Declaration of Ownership of goods, stating goods are the shipper s own possessions. Shipper must obtain Certificado de Bagagem issued at point of origin by the Portuguese Consulate, along with an inventory listing in Portuguese (but showing no values). Comprehensive inventory in Portuguese, stating that all items are used and have been in the possession of the owner for more than 6 months. The inventory needs to be in duplicate, consularized, signed and dated by the shipper. Valued Inventory for Customs listing serial numbers of major electrical appliances. Obtained from the Junta de Freguesia having jurisdiction over the shipper s new residence in, verifying that the shipper has been living there for less than a year. Declaration signed by the shipper, and other forms verifying when, where and how shipper arrived in. Copy of work contract, if applicable. If the shipper is not a citizen of the origin country then proof that he/she resided in the origin country for at least 12 months is required. This can include a copy of his/her identity card as a foreigner, certificate issued by Portuguese Effective: Octt. 24,
6 Diplomats Diplomatic Franchise Consulate or a copy of the work contract at origin. Diplomatic Franchise obtained from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs 15 days before shipment s arrival. Duties Personal & household goods can be imported duty-free under the following conditions: Goods are used and the shipper has owned them for a minimum of 1 year. Goods are for the continued personal use of the shipper. Details: Household goods and personal effects are subject to customs clearance broker s fees based upon the shipment s value. All new items are subject to duties. The shipper must be in at least 1 week prior to the arrival of the shipment for customs inspection. Shipment must arrive in within 90 days of the shipper s arrival and usually 120 days of the issuance of the Certificado de Bagagem. If the shipper plans on importing more than one shipment, then a special permit will need to be obtained. Detailed Inventories for all shipments will need to accompany the first shipment, if applicable. If the shipment originates in more than one locale, then a separate inventory must be submitted for each location. All shipments must be cleared through one Customs house. Quantities of household goods must correspond to social status of the shipper. Restricted and Prohibited Imports All countries, including prohibits and restricts the importation of certain dangerous or sensitive items. Restricted Items: All new items less than 6 months old or items that appear new are subject to duty. Do not pack items in the original cartons to avoid confusing used items with new. Television sets must be registered at local Port Office for License control and details such as type, make, serial number, etc. must be indicated on inventory. Tobacco products Antiques and art objects are allowed but special requirements may apply. Wine and spirits must be in reasonable quantities equal to the contents of a normal domestic wine rack and cocktail cabinet. Effective: Octt. 24,
7 Prohibited Items: Firearms, weapons, ammunition and war instruments. See below for conditions of importing firearms. Drugs and narcotics. Pornographic materials. Gold in the form of bars. Perishable foodstuff and medicines prejudicial to national health. Systems for copying mail stamping. Essences for counterfeiting regional wine. Restricted and Prohibited Exports Not available. Motor Vehicles Imports The following documents are required for the importation of motor vehicles: Required Documents Registration Certificate International Driver s License Insurance Certificate Import License Letter of conduction Details Registration certificate and title. In case of boats only. Motor vehicles can be imported duty-free under following conditions: Motor vehicles may be temporarily imported duty-free for 6 months and then must be exported if definitive importation is not made effective. Returning adult Portuguese Citizens may import motor vehicles duty-free if they have lived abroad continuously for at least 24 months. Proof of residency abroad is required and can include a letter from an employer or income tax receipts. Motor Vehicles Exports Not available. Effective: Octt. 24,
8 Pets The requirements to transport dogs and cats may vary per country. If you wish to ship your pet, please contact the airline or country Consulate/Embassy for specific details concerning your type, breed and documentation for pets. Effective: Octt. 24,

10 WOOD PACKAGING MATERIAL International wood packing requirements are in accordance with ISPM 15 (International Standards for Phytosanitary Measures: Guidelines for Regulating Wood Packaging Material in International Trade*) as of 5 July 2006: *ISPM 15 is produced by the Secretariat of the International Plant Protection Convention (IPPC) of the United Nations' Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO). ISPM 15 requires certain phytosanitary procedures, in particular heat treatment or methyl bromide fumigation, relating to wood packaging material (including dunnage) made of raw wood in use in international trade; the phytosanitary procedures are meant to minimize the risk of introducing and spreading certain pests that live and breed in raw wood. REQUIREMENTS OF ISPM 15 Wood packaging material in the form of: Packing cases, boxes, crates, drums, and similar packings Pallets, box pallets, skids, and other load boards Pallet collars actually in use in the transport of objects of all kinds, except: Raw wood of 6mm thickness or less Processed wood produced by glue, heat and pressure, or any combination thereof The wood packaging material shall: Be subject to one of the approved measures as specified in Annex I To FAO ISPM 15 (currently, heat treatment or methyl bromide fumigation) Display a mark with: o The two-letter ISO Country Code (in place of XX in the image below) o A code identifying the producer (in place of 000 in the image below) o The code identifying the approved measure applied to the wood packing material in the mark as specified in Annex II to FAO ISPM 15 (in place of YY in the image below; examples are HT For Heat Treatment and MB for Methyl Bromide Fumigation ) o Where debarking is required, the letters DB shall be added to the abbreviation of the approved measure included in the said mark o The logo as specified in Annex II to FAO ISPM 15 (this logo is the ippc trademarked graphic symbol shown in the image below on the left side) Effective: Octt. 24,

Legible and visible, preferably on at least two opposite sides of the article being certified Be marked in accordance with Annex II to FAO ISPM 15 (see directly above under "Display a mark with:") If not, at a minimum it should be made from bark-free wood that is free from pests and signs of live pests DUNNAGE, i.e. wood used to wedge or support non-wood cargo, including that which has not kept its natural round surface except: Raw wood of 6mm thickness or less Processed wood produced by glue, heat and pressure, or a combination thereof Effective: Octt. 24,
