Visa are valid from date of issue, Please note the final decision on the validity is made by the visa officer at the consulate The High Commission of Pakistan, has announced they will now outsource their visa application process to an external supplier. The Government of Pakistan has decided to grant visa to genuine foreign businessmen / investors from many countries including United Kingdom, on arrival non-reporting for 30 days on production of any of the following documents: Recommendation letter from Chamber of Commerce & Industries (CC&I) of the respective country of visitor. Invitation letter from business organization duly recommended by the concerned Trade Organization / Association in Pakistan. Recommendation letter by investment Consular of Board of Investment posted at Pakistan Mission abroad. Business/NGO Visa Requirements Visa Application Form One fully completed application form Must be completed in Black ink only and in Block Capital letters Please also include a photocopy of completed form. Business Visa Check list One completed and signed checklist GDPR Pakistan Consent Form, Must be completed and signed in BLACK INK ONLY Passport The applicant s actual passport - This must Be at valid for six months beyond exit date Must have at least two blank pages Photographs Two passport size photographs Must be on a white background Be taken within the last six months Must not be stapled to the application form (please paper clip them) Scanned and printed photographs will not be accepted. 4 UK Business Letter An ORIGINAL letter from the applicant s employer Must be on company headed paper. Must be fully addressed to the embassy Include the applicant s full name. Include the name of the organisation to be visited. Specify the type of visa applying for. Include who is financially responsible for applicant. Signed by someone other than the applicant i.e. Company director or HR department An example can be found within the visa pack. UK Company Registration Company Registration Certificate OR Letter from company stating they are exempt from holding this type of document. Letter of Invitation From the person the applicant is visiting. Must be on company headed paper. Must be fully addressed to the embassy Include the name of the applicant. State purpose of journey and visa request. If applying for a multiple entry the letter of invitation needs to be approved by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Its advisable to provide a copy of the inviting organisations registration certificate. Inviting Company Registration Certificate This is the registration certificate of the inviting company in Pakistan This can be a copy as long as its clear. NGOs will provide registration with Economic Affairs Division (EAD), Pakistan / OR Ministry of Interior Proof of Financial Means Evidence of funds Must be the passengers last three months bank statements Online bank statements need to be verified by the bank Proof of UK address Copy of a recent utility bill or Copy of driving licence (both sides) and both sides of the Counter part of the driving licence. 3

5 Travel Arrangements Copy Flight Itinerary (please note this does not have to be a confirmed booking) Copy of Hotel confirmation ( if being invited by friend or family then a letter of invitation from Pakistan and a copy of the inviters information page of their passport, plus copy of visa (if a non Pakistani national) Exceptions for Non UK passport holders Non UK nationals must have a valid UK residency stamp/visa in their passport Applicant s of Afghanistan or Indian origin need to apply in person at the embassy. EU nationals need to provide proof of UK address in the form of a utility bill Key Travel Booking Form Please ensure this form is completed. 14 Checklist for Business visa N.B. Business visa requires minimum five (5) working days to process. 17 Example of a Business Letter When applying for a business visa, consulates usually require a letter from the applicant s company. This letter should be as specific as possible, so please include all the details available to you. The main points are listed here and an example of business letter follows. Main Points Must be addressed to the consulate for which the application is being made Must be on company headed paper Be dated, which a date of no older than 1 month from date of submission Name of the employer (as stated on passport) travelling on behalf of the company Length of stay in the country with dates of entry and exit Type of visa and number of entries that are required Specific purpose of travel Name and address of the company or companies to be visited, and contact details of the host Travel arrangements (if known) Statement of financial responsibility for expenses incurred during the trip Please note that Consulates prefer the original Business Letter.
