Notice of Visa Fees Adjustment from Monday 19th November Based on the changes in the exchange rate in recent years, the Chinese Embassy and Consulates in the UK will apply new visa fees From 12 November 2018 new changes come into effect for London applicants applying for all types of Chinese Visas. Applicants who are aged between 14 to 70 inclusive applying for a china visa will need to attend an appointment in person at the Chinese Visa Centre to complete the application s new biometric system process. Despite this complication, Key Travel are still able to assist and process your application, and can offer the following level of service. Service level 1 - Fully comprehensive meet and greet at 75 + VAT offer This service covers: On receiving your visa application we will check it thoroughly to ensure it complies with the regulations of CVC services and the Chinese Embassy. We will make the appointment with you at CVC for your biometric to be completed. Meet and greet with a Key Travel courier representative to walk you through the biometrics process. We will have two courier representatives on the day to co-ordinate and accelerate the application process. Once your fingerprint has been given we will take over the lodge submit and pay for the process, and obtain collection receipt. 1

Key Travel can t be held responsible for rejections as the individual China Visa officers have the power to reject If a visa application has been rejected and the embassy have provided a yellow letter of Notice of Returned Application, this official document MUST be included in future applications or re-submissions until the visa is granted. Removal or omission of this document is deemed a serious offence by the Chinese Embassy, and will affect the outcome of your application. The Chinese embassy has visa restrictions on religious workers, so it's advisable to apply for the visa one month before you are travelling. Business Visas Business visa's has now been split for one category (F) to two different categories - requirements remain the same regardless of which category is issued:- F Category - Non-Business - e.g. Research, Training, Conference, Volunteer and non-trading activities. M Category - Business Commercial and Trade - Business meetings, Negotiations, Visiting Factories. Z Category (Z)Foreign expert working in China,(Z)For commercial performance,(z)chief representative or representative of a foreign company,(z)offshore oil operations,(z)volunteering (more than 90 days),(z) Foreigner working in China with a Work Permit issued by the Chinese government If you need requirements for any other category then please visa@keytravel.com 2

Passport The applicant s actual passport - This must Must be valid for six months beyond expiry date of the visa Must have at least two blank visa pages Photographs One passport sized photograph - on high quality photo paper; be 33mm by 48mm in size; Provide the full frontal view of your head with your face centred in the middle and displaying a neutral (non-smiling) expression with ears visible. No background light or shadow over your face. You may wear neither spectacles nor headwear except for religious purposes. You may not wear any jewellery including earrings and necklaces regardless of size. You may not wear any neck scarves You should not wear any garment identical to the photo background. 4 Declaration Form Sign and Date the declaration form Letter of Invitation - One of the two following documents must be provided A letter of invitation from the company to be visited in China. A Copy is acceptable, this must Be on company letterhead paper and be addressed to the embassy. Full name of the passenger (as in the passport) Passport number, Gender and Date of Birth Purpose of visit Dates of entry and Exit Place of visit Relationship between the applicant and the inviter Who will financially support the applicant during their stay in China Name of the Organization (inviting company) Contact telephone number Full address Stamp of the Organization Signature of the Organization representative Or A letter of invitation from the Chinese Foreign Ministry Be issued by a Duly Authorized Unit Must contain the passengers full name (as in passport) Bear the seal and signature of the inviting unit Make sure it s signed and dated. Be issued within the last six months If applying for a Z type visa (work visa) one of the following is required instead of the letter of invitation Both original and copy of Alien Employment License of the People s Republic of China issued by the Chinese government authority for Human Resources and Social Security; Both original and copy of Permit for Foreign Experts Working in China issued by the State Bureau of Foreign Experts; Copy of Notification Letter of Foreigner's Work Permit in the People's Republic of China; Both original and copy of Letter of Invitation to Foreigners for Offshore Petroleum Operations in China issued by China National Offshore Oil Corporation; Registration certificate of the resident representative office of foreign (regional) enterprises issued by related administrative department of industry and commerce; Commercial performance over than 90 days: Original and a copy of an approval document for commercial performance issued by Chinese government authority for Cultural Affairs. 4

5 Commercial performance less than 90 days: Original and a copy of an approval document for commercial performance issued by Chinese government authority for Cultural Affairs and a copy of Notification Letter of Foreigner's Work Permit in the People's Republic of China; Photocopy of Passport Information Page and Previous Chinese Visa A clear copy of the information page of the applicant s passport. A clear copy of the most recent and previous Chinese visas Exceptions for Minors - applicant under the age of 18 years old. Section 5.5 of the application form needs to be signed by both parents Both original and copy of both parents passports Original and photocopy of applicants birth certificate Exceptions for Non UK passport holders: Non UK and Non EU passport holders must provide a Valid original UK visa in passport or UK Residency Card Dual Nationals Applicants holding dual nationality must: Supply both original passports and or an original statement explaining why this is not possible may be accepted as long as stating something other than being used for travel. Applicants holding dual nationality of Afghanistan, Iraq, Pakistan, Syria or Turkey must: State this clearly on the visa form Apply on their UK passport where a UK passport is held, if not, then apply on the passport holding UK residency Supply a copy of their non-uk passport and ID card Apply for standard processing as express processing is not available for these dual nationals Where a copy of the non-uk passport and ID card are not available then a personal statement must be supplied explaining this. 5

13 Start to complete the form entering the information in accordance to the information entered in your passport. You must upload a passport photo, this must comply with the photo requirements provided by the Chinese embassy. ( see link The system will advise you if the photo you re uploading will be successful. You cannot continue with the application form until the photo is uploaded. Once you have completed all the questions, before you submit check through the application and ensure all information is correct, Once you hit submit application, you cannot edit or amend this form.

We recommend you send all documents by courier or recorded delivery.
