5 Water IQ/W4O/WMY FY17 Program Status Individual conference calls with Member City water educators nearly complete EnviroMedia working on final creative brief and media buy recommendations based on city feedback Early 2017 will share new creative recommendations and Water4Otter spring surveys with water educators

7 Goldwater Project NTMWD executed MOU to participate in Goldwater Project originally presented at April 2016 Water Partnering Meeting Goldwater recommends Kip Averitt provide overview to NTMWD Board on potential program activities and expected results prior to initiating activities possibly January 2017 not yet confirmed

8 GOLDWATER PROJECT OBJECTIVES Assess, quantify and track previous and ongoing conservation strategies of all NTMWD customers Provide wholesale customers with detailed reports that assist them in meeting their own conservation goals and show how to stay on track with tailored, cost effective measures Address challenges to implementing future strategies and to achieving water conservation goals Provide state and local recommendations that will help participating utilities to achieve their conservation goals. 8

9 Award Applications Blue Legacy Awards Water Conservation Advisory Council Initial deadline of Nov. 30, 2016 (may have extended if not enough applications) 2017 Texas Water Watermark Awards for Communications Deadline Feb. 5, 2017 Work must have been completed in 2016

10 Operations and Projects Update Operations Prescribed burns at wetlands, late December early March Chlorine burn in early 2017 Change to blending ratio of Texoma water Coordinating with Engineering for more advance notice on work with public impacts Lower Bois d Arc Creek Reservoir Working with federal agencies on final permit U.S. House & Senate passed Water Infrastructure Improvements for the Nation (WIIN) Act with project amendment included USACE to report to Congress in June 2017 Congressman Sam Johnson potential public meeting early 2017

11 Public Relations: Issues Update District Governance Number of cities requested change to Enabling Act for Directors to serve at will Getting feedback from cities on proposed amendment language Laubenberg may sponsor local bill Water Supply Contract Working group meetings with city reps throughout 2016 Cities haven t reached agreement District continuing work on potential options Primary Group meeting planned in January (date TBD)
