3 Denise Campos Bio Denise Campos has over 13 years of professional experience in community outreach and government relations. Campos works at Southern California Gas Company (SoCalGas) as a Local Outreach Manager in the Regional Public Affairs team. SoCalGas is the nation's largest natural gas distribution company, serving 21.1 million customers across 12 counties. Prior to this she was the Community Outreach Project Manager on SoCalGas' Advanced Meter team. Campos' career in public service spanned ten years working for Los Angeles City Council Members Ruth Galanter and Jose Huizar, City Attorney Rocky Delgadillo, LAUSD School Board Member Tamar Galatzan, and the Commission for Children, Youth and Their Families. Campos is a graduate of the Hispanas Organized for Political Equality (HOPE) Leadership Institute and the Southern California Leadership Network's Leadership LA. In July 2014, Senator Pro Tem Darrell Steinberg appointed Campos to the California State Architect's Board. Her term expires in Campos is a graduate of San Diego State University with dual bachelor's degrees in Chicano Studies and Political Science. At SDSU, she was elected to serve on Associated Students, she was Vice-Chair of the Association of Chicana Activists, and was a member of Alpha Pi Sigma, a Latina-based sorority. Campos is a native of Los Angeles, California, where she attended public schools in the community of Eagle Rock. Her parents immigrated to the United States from Mexico and she is fluent in Spanish.

To begin the appointment process, please review, sign and return the enclosed Remuneration Form, Undated Separation Forms, Background Check Release and Information Sheet within one week of receiving this letter. These documents are necessary to ensuring the most efficient, open and accountable City government possible. Further, Mayor s Office policy requires you to be fingerprinted as part of the background check that is done on all potential Commissioners.
