4 INTRODUCTION Gopalan Skill Academy expands its portfolio of solutions to offer skill building solutions for the various sectors. As India gears itself for the Green Revolution, Gopalan Skill Academy is geared to leverage massive opportunities that exist in sectors by providing skill building solutions. In its journey to create a world-class enterprise in the training and skill development domain, Gopalan Skill Academy recently ventured into this exercise at our first skill centre established in our Gopalan Promonade Building at Kathriguppe, Bengaluru. Our centre will provide learning solutions for business, Govt., PSUs, Universities, multilateral agencies/ NGOs and individuals. Gopalan Skill Academy will soon be making inroads into other locations in Bengaluru city.

7 Message from President We take pride in being the Nation's Skilling Partner The world is changing, and India is renascent. An already recognized world player, the vision of our nation being rightfully termed as a 'Superpower' is very much in sight. The road ahead for us, though clear, is not yet paved. There exist challenges, which we will have to overcome, to finally stand on the podium and claim greatness as ours. Our greatest strength is also our biggest weakness. The dichotomy of having a large young workforce and yet our industries struggling to find suitable talent is much too obvious. This lacuna stretches across skill and education levels. It could be our biggest challenge yet. This is the space where our skill academy steps in. Already an established and leading player in the Education scenario, Gopalan Skill Academy will take giant strides in the skill building business through our multi-pronged initiatives. We have proposed partnership under the Schemes of National Skill Development Corporation, Beyond the Private tie up, We also plan to work with a host of Government agencies on a variety of initiatives across the industry. A majority of these initiatives target youth from under-served sections of society and work towards mobilizing, training, employing and hence empowering them with a chance towards a brighter future. Besides, our regular academy colleges; now through our skill development centre we intend to provide students with an opportunity to study vocational courses which comprise of deep integration modules within the industry of their choice. A certification of being jobready along with a regular course degree enables the students to hit the ground running on the first day of their job. Apart from our newer initiatives, we are increasing the foot-print of Gopalan Group in the space that has long been our forte- Education sector. 10 Overview Gopalan Foundation established in 2004, is a Bengaluru based comprehensive foundation which integrates varied talent to strengthen the society needs. Gopalan Skill Academy expands its portfolio of solutions to offer skill building solutions for the various sectors. Gopalan Skill Academy proposes to conduct vocational training for courses on industrial requirement; like job roles in the field of customer care executives IT / ITes, field service executives in Telecom sector, Banking & Financial services, Basic Tailoring in Textile and store operator assistants in the Retail sector Etc...

11 Overview Vocational Education and Training While jobs are aplenty, organizations till date face the challenge of getting the right skilled talent. In order to address this talent gap, Gopalan Skill Academy offers skill building solutions that cater to the requirements across the skill pyramid. We offer employability programmes that in turn create corporate ready workforce across sectors. In order to drive impetus to this vision, we propose to organize job fairs in nearing future. Some of our skill building solutions include: Offering end-to-end skill building programmes focusing on improving the employability quotient of aspirants. Partnering with various governments and their agencies to provide skill building programmes for youth. Partnering with corporate & PSUs to implement their CSR initiatives.

12 Skills for Global Employability World over, organizations are facing severe shortage of talent with domain specific skills. The immense talent scarcity that the industry is facing requires out-of-the-box thinking, decoding of issues related to skills access, affordability and accreditation. We offer programmes that work closely with industries & corporates to provide end-to-end sourcing, training, certification and placement to candidates in various trades based on industry requirements. Instead of following the age old principle of first training and then seeking a job, we, at Gopalan propose to work with industries & corporate houses, estimate their manpower requirements and then provide training to people in respective trades. 25 Gopalan Skill Academy Gopalan Skill Academy Training Programme 2016/2017 FELLOWSHIP - Training Programme (FSTP) initiated in 2016 which is sponsored by the Gopalan Foundation and administered by the Gopalan Skill Academy for specialised training programmes. The programme which is all set to award fellowships for training at Gopalan Skill Academy from now may be further extended and expanded in The Short listed applicants application will be forwarded to the Fellowship committee for further selection process, the selection of application is as per the directions of the Committee; From case to case and time to time. Terms of Fellowships The Gopalan Foundation will bear the training fees; The Fellow shall bear their daily allowance and accommodation for their participation. Complimentary breakfast will be provided at the hotel and lunch at Gopalan Skill Academy during training days. Participants are advised to secure their own overseas travel insurance to cover themselves for the period of the training in India ( If applicable).

26 Leaders Scholarships Gopalan Skill Academy, scholarships are offered for GSA s Courses in which comprise two compulsory courses and one elective course. Participants are given the flexibility to select an elective course based on their areas of profession or interest. Participants may choose to attend any of the courses first. Scholarship Nomination Forms should be submitted 6 weeks before the start of the first course. Terms of Scholarships The Gopalan Foundation will bear the training fees; The participant shall bear their daily allowance and accommodation for their participation. Complimentary breakfast will be provided at the hotel and lunch at Gopalan Skill Academy during training days. Participants are advised to secure their own overseas travel insurance to cover themselves for the period of the training in India ( If applicable).
