There are a few errors in the packet for which I not able to edit. When I find errors as I redo the assignment, I will post them on the class discussion board. This assignment will give you a basic understanding of the derivative and what we will begin studying in the fall. I will expect most of your discussion board questions to come from this packet. There is a lot of problem solving and is not indicative of how the daily workings of the class will be (not until we review for the AP Exam), so do not become frustrated. Summer Assignment #3: Discussion Board Posts 3 posts/responses are required to earn a C on this assignment, 4 a B, and 6 for an A. Anything less than 3 will result in zero points for the assignment. All students are required to post a question about the summer assignment or questions about the course in general. You must post at least twice by August 15th, and the remaining must be complete by midnight on Labor Day. You may pose a question, respond to another student s post, or respond to one of my posts to earn credit. You must provide your first and last name to every post in order to receive credit. A post of one or two words and meaningless comments do not count. I agree or You are correct are appropriate comments, but will not suffice to earn credit. These types of comments should be followed by a justification and/or a clarifying statement of why you agree or why they are correct. I will keep track as the summer moves on. Good luck. Address: Class Website: tim.brown@apps.k12.mi.us I check my almost daily during the summer. Send me an if you have questions. I will be continually updating my website in preparation for the next school year. I will be adding all worksheets and answer keys that are appropriate for the course throughout that will be needed throughout the year. I also check the discussion board almost daily during the summer so post your questions there. Good Luck! Mr. Brown
