BOCES Board Scholarship Mrs. Mackay talked about dormant donated funds and how the Audit Committee would like to use the fund to start a Board scholarship. Dr. Ryan recommended that the process be discussed at the August Board retreat. Mr. Kreps agreed that the Board will discuss the mechanics at that meeting. All members present voted aye. OLD BUSINESS Mr. Kreps discussed the lengthy overlap of the Section 1 Director who is retiring. The overlap is believed to be about DISTRICT SUPERINTENDENT S UPDATE Minutes July 3, seven months. Dr. Ryan shared that he was very impressed with the end of the year activities that occurred around the BOCES. He stated that he had discussions with the department Directors and other administrators about upgrading the ceremonies, and he expressed appreciation with how this was done. He said it was a team effort by all departments, and that the students and families appreciated the upgrades.

10 Dr. Ryan mentioned that he has made contact and will meet with all new superintendents. He shared that both Putnam Valley and Brewster will be looking for new Superintendents at the end of the year. Dr. Ryan passed out the MHSSC Law Conference brochure. The conference is planned for August 3 rd. Dr. Ryan shared that Senator Murphy has secured $50,000 for our CTE department. FINAL COMMENTS FROM AUDIENCE FINAL COMMENTS FROM BOARD Dr. Ryan shared a legal brief from David Shaw regarding the recent Janus Supreme Court decision. NONE Mrs. Feldman commented that she will be attending the White Plains Law Conference and that School Boards registration opens on July 16 th. Mr. Kreps told the Board to contact Mary Lorenzo with any questions. ADJOURNMENT Minutes July 3, Mrs. Mackay commented that it is nice to see our Accounts Receivable balances in such good shape. Mr. Kreps commented on the fact that the Brewster School District budget passed, but that East Ramapo s budget failed on their second vote. Mr. Kreps also commented on how much he enjoyed the year-end activities and shared the kudos that he received from those that attended.
