3 Christina Bellantoni Editor-in-Chief, Roll Expertise: Congress, politics, House campaigns, Senate campaigns, presidential campaigns Christina Bellantoni took the position of editor-in-chief in January 2014 and is in charge of all editorial, print and digital platforms. Before returning to the newspaper, Christina worked as political editor at the PBS NewsHour, where she directed coverage of the White House, Congress, political campaigns and the Supreme Court. While managing the political unit and the election-year Corporation for Public Broadcasting grant, Christina also served as an on-air political analyst. Prior to working in television, Christina was associate politics editor for Roll Call from October 2010 until January She has been writing about politics in Washington since fall In 2009, Christina joined Talking Points Memo, covering the White House and national politics. She worked from 2003 to 2009 at The Washington Times, covering the White House, the 2008 presidential campaign and Congress, and started there covering Virginia state politics. She serves on the board of the Washington Press Club Foundation, which aims to advance women and minorities in newsrooms, and plays on the Bad News Babes, the media team in the annual Congressional Women s Softball Game. Shira T. Center Politics Editor, Roll Expertise: Congress, politics, House campaigns, Senate campaigns, presidential campaigns Shira T. Center (née Toeplitz) has covered politics from Alaska to New Hampshire and everywhere in between for a decade. An authority on congressional races, she possesses encyclopedic knowledge of the demographic and geographic politics of every state and House district. During her six years at Roll Call, Shira was the first national reporter to interview Sen. Al Franken, D-Minn., after his election, and the last to do an extended interview with Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin before she was selected as the GOP nominee for vice president. Shira has offered commentary on political campaigns for all of the country s major networks (ABC, CBS and NBC). A frequent guest on cable news programs, she regularly appears on shows that run the political gamut, reaching varied audiences on MSNBC, FOX, CNBC, CNN and C-SPAN. The aim is to provide penetrating, non-partisan and forward-looking analysis of policies being formed on Capitol Hill and the people and politics driving the legislative debates. David is in his 20th year at CQ Roll Call. He spent six years as managing editor of CQ Weekly, a magazine covering federal policies, people and politics. He has also been the senior editor for legislative affairs, economics editor, congressional affairs editor, managing editor for daily news and co-editor of Politics in America, the company s signature reference work on members of Congress. He offers analysis every Monday and Friday on NPR s Washington affiliate, WAMU, and makes frequent appearances as a guest commentator on Fox News, CNN and MSNBC. Kyle Trygstad Associate Politics Editor, Roll Expertise: Politics, Senate campaigns Kyle Trygstad has covered national politics in Washington, D.C., since He has reported on House and Senate races at Roll Call since 2010, and now focuses on Senate races in addition to serving as associate politics editor. He previously worked at The Hotline, the Almanac of American Politics and RealClearPolitics. Kyle covered the 2008 and 2012 national conventions, and this cycle has delivered on-the-ground reporting from Georgia, Mississippi and Louisiana. He is an Arlington, Va., native and graduate of Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, where he covered the state legislature as a stringer for small newspapers in the state and worked as a copy messenger for the Richmond Times-Dispatch. 4

Having covered everything from under-the-radar special elections to competitive primaries, Emily has a deep understanding of the House map and its handicap. A native of the Garden State, Emily joined Roll Call in April She began her journalism career at The Washington Post, where she served as an editorial aide on the copy desk. She also interned at The Hill newspaper, the Houston Chronicle s D.C. bureau and CBS News. She is a graduate of the George Washington University, where she served as senior news editor of the GW Hatchet, the student newspaper. Abby Livingston Staff Writer, Roll Expertise: Politics, House campaigns Abby Livingston covers political campaigns for Roll Call. She joined the newspaper after a tenure as a producer for CNN s John King, USA, and a writer for CNN s Political Ticker. Prior to CNN, Abby covered the media as an editor at The Hotline. Abby started her journalism career as a desk assistant in the NBC News Washington bureau. She worked her way up to the Political Unit, where she researched stories for Nightly News and the Today Show. She also wrote for NBC s First Read. A seventh-generation Texan, Abby graduated from the University of Texas at Austin. She grew up in Fort Worth and has appeared in an episode of The Bold and The Beautiful. She loves Springsteen and the Longhorns, and is also a member of the Bad News Babes, the women s press softball team that takes on female members of Congress in the annual Congressional Women s Softball Game. Alexis Levinson Staff Writer, Roll Expertise: Politics, Senate campaigns Alexis Levinson covers Senate campaigns for Roll Call. Before joining the paper in April 2014, she worked at The Daily Caller. In her three and a half years there, she covered the 2012 Republican presidential primary, reporting from the campaign trail in New Hampshire and South Carolina, and attending the convention in Tampa; the 2012 general election Senate campaigns; and the very early preparations of the 2016 presidential campaign before heading to the Capitol to cover Congress for a year and a half. A New Yorker by birth, she grew up in Los Angeles before escaping back to the East Coast for college. She graduated cum laude from Princeton University with a degree in Comparative Literature. Eliza previously worked at National Journal, first as a staff writer and then as a contributing editor. She was an election law columnist for NationalJournal.com and NationalJournalDaily, and contributed features and investigative stories to National Journal and Government Executive magazines. Before joining National Journal in 1991, Eliza covered Capitol Hill for States News Service, where her subscribing newspapers included The New York Times and the Evening Sun of Baltimore.
