The Main Topics of these tribunes are: - To promote smart intercities links according to FERRMED and EU CORE NET CITIES PLATFORM objectives. - To convey bottom-up initiatives and requests to EC, EU Parliament, Member States and Regions, related to Core Network intermodal corridors development and enhancement (including infrastructure and operational issues). - To analyze the present problems and forecasted conditions in the different kinds of intercities links. - To propose innovative solutions, including more sustainable and socioeconomic balancing between transportation modes. The Tribunes will be organized at cities level and will consider different sectors of the EU Core Network Corridors. They are open to main actors of the corridors sections zone of influence such as the road, rail, aviation, logistic, short sea shipping and inland waterways operators, ports, airports, shippers, ICT companies, energy producers and distributors, infrastructure urban planners, business management schools, etc. 1
2 The FIRST FERRMED / CZF / EU CORE NET CITIES TRIBUNE will concern to Transport & Logistics matters regarding the Mediterranean Corridor Sectors: Torino Lyon Marseille Barcelona Valencia Almería and Barcelona Lleida Zaragoza. It will emphasize the railway network requirements analyzing the present situation and conditions, proposing the adequate solutions at short and medium terms in order to solve the identified problems on the way of the European Commission targets and requirements.
