2 Hadi says Houthicoup erupted in the middle of national dialogue President Abd-Rabbu Mansour Hadisaid that Houthis started their coup d état in the midst of the country s National Dialogue Conference and thus sabotaged Yemen s transformationthat nearing accomplishment in Addressing the 29th Arab League summit which kicked off in the Saudi city of Dhahran on Sunday, Hadi narrated that the the National Dialogue Conference (NDC) went on (in 2013 through 2014) under the sponsorship from the brotherly and friendly nations. 3 النشــرة األســبوعية President Hadi receives al-bashir of Sudan President Abd-Rabbo Mansour Hadi met on Sunday with his brother Omer al-bashir, the President of Sudan. On the sideline of Arab Summit meetings here, the two parties discussed improving relations between the two countries. President Hadi praised positive positions of Sudan in the framework of Arab Coalition for supporting legality in Yemen. For his part, al-bashir expressed his pleasure for meeting his brother President Hadi, confirming his country s support to Yemen and its legality until achieving its objectives of ending the coup and reinstating the legality. Hadi attends conclusion of Gulf Shield 1 drill in eastern Saudi Arabia His Excellency President Abd-Rabbu Mansour Hadi, the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, attended the closing ceremony of the Joint Gulf Shield-1 at Dhahran Air Base in the east of Saudi Arabia. 4 President Hadi meets with Russian President s envoy to Middle East President Abd-Rabbu Mansour Hadi met Saturday evening with the special envoy of the Russian President Vladimir Putin to the Middle East, Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Bogdanove and his accompanying delegation. The meeting held on the sidelines of the 29th Arab Summit, held in Saudi city of Al-Dharan. Topics of common interests including situations in our country and the region were a central focus of President Hadi s conversation with the Russian diplomat. VP: Peace legitimate government s primary choice, we defend peoples democratic right Vice President Lieutenant General (Lt Gen) Ali Mohssen Saleh has reiterated that the legitimate government s number one choice is making durable peace that is based on the three terms of references. His statement came as he met Sunday with the deputy of German ambassador to our country Jan Gerald.i The Vice President s conversations with the German diplomat focused on the Yemeni-German bilateral ties and cooperation. The situations in our country including humanitarian suffering caused by Iran-backed Houthi militia were also touched upon. President Hadi praised Russia s supportive stances in supporting the Yemeni constitutional authority and the transition process based on the GCC s Initiative, its operational mechanism, outcomes of the National Dialogue and UNSCRs, most important of all President Hadi said: Yemen today has been going through very tough transition process requires support by the international community to manage the coup and its foreign instruments. President Hadi stressed the importance of the Russia s role and support for Yemen in this regard. For his part, the Russian envoy has asserted that his country is ready to play in role can serve peace in Yemen and re-establish security and stability in the country. Mr Bogdanove has reiterated Russia s support for Yemen and its constitutional legitimacy. 5 Prime Minister Ahmad Obeid bin-daghr has stressed on unifying military and security apparatus under ministries of defense and interior and activating intelligence work to stop terrorist and criminal attacks for tightening security in Aden and liberated provinces. Presiding over a meeting for the military and security committee on Monday, he discussed with attending ministers and officials military and security issues and creating suitable solutionsin cooperation with the Arab Coalition- for these issues to realize security and stability in Prime Minister Ahmed bin-daghr discussed with the Minister of Interior Eng. Ahmed Al-Maysari and the acting governor of Aden Ahmed Salimin the security situation in the interim capital Aden. Bin-Daghr praised the efforts exerted by the Interior Ministry during the past period to establish security and stability in Aden and the rest of the government-held provinces. He stressed the need to redouble efforts and work to overcome the obstacles and to enforce law and order. He affirmed that the government will provide all the necessary support to the security agencies to Aden and nearby provinces. He informed the command of the committee, led by Minister of Interior Ahmad al-maisari and Acting Governor of Aden Ahmad Salimain that the directives of President Hadi order having a joint operational room for exchanging information and intelligence activities, as well as integrating efforts for deterring terrorist cells and cracking down on their elements. 6 PM bin-daghr inspects power in Aden Prime Minister Ahmad Obeid bin-daghr has stressed on finalizing maintenance work of power plants and generators in the transitional capital Aden as soon as possible and before the advent of the holy month of Ramadan. In his inspection visit to the al-hoswa Power Plant on Friday, bin-daghr inspected the maintenance work for the plant, which will enter service in its first phase before the advent of Ramadan, probably three weeks later. Carried out by more than 250 technicians from local cadre and Ukraine, who work around the clock, the project costs USD 31 million and financed by the government. 7 FM participates in symposium about international relations during crisises Deputy Premier, Foreign Minister Abdulmalik Al- Mekhlafi participated on Tuesday in the sessions of the symposium about international relations during crisises and disasters. The gathering organized by the University of Security of Amir Na ef in cooperation with the International Organization for Civic Protection and Civil Defense and the Geneva University for Diplomatic and International Relations Studies. Al-Mekhalafi made contribution to the symposium with a working paper about the regional and international cooperation to deal with the humanitarian crisis in Yemen. He explained the humanitarian crisis, challenges facing humanitarian action in Yemen and the necessary practical measures to manage the difficulties facing the relieving operations. He also cited potentials ways to put an end of the humanitarian crisis in Yemen, the positive factors that helped mitigating the humanitarian dilemma and the role of International united stance toward the Yemeni crisis. 8 Fatah urges more international relief aids Minister of Local Administration Chairman of Supreme Relief Committee Abdulraqeeb Fatah has called on the international community and international relief agencies to provide Yemeni with further relief assistance. In a statement to the Yemeni News Agency (Saba) Fatah applauded the suggestion by the French President Emmanuel Macron about organizing a humanitarian conference for Yemen by the next summer. The Minister suggested more fund-raising conferences and functions that can mobilize relief efforts and highlight the humanitarian catastrophe in Yemen caused by Houthi militia that international community must be familiar with the atrocities and violations the militia authorities committed against the Yemeni people. Macron s idea made public during the Saudi Crown Prince Emir Mohammed bin Salman visit to Paris recently. Fatah made clear that all international relief efforts are deeply appreciated and welcome by the Yemeni government and people. Al-Alimi: Arab Coalition key anti-iran expansion policy pillar Director of the Republic Presidency Office, Dr Abdullah Al-Alimi stated that Saudi-led Arab Coalition for supporting the legitimacy in Yemen is considered to be one of the most important bases to stand up to Iran s expansion scheme in the region and its harmful interventions that badly affected Arab region and Arab security. In his weekly press briefing Monday in the city of Al-Khobar, colonel Al-Maliki stated that Iran-backed Houthi putschist militia has turned Sana a international airport into military barracks to stockpile weapons. Al-Maliki revealed that air defenses had intercepted 119 ballistic missiles fired by Houthi militia from the two provinces of Amran and Saada toward the territories of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA). 11 Asia youth Council gives Asian Leadership Awards to minister al-eryani The Asian Youth Council (AYC) has honored Yemen s information Minister Muammar al-eryani by giving him the Asian Leadership Awards in recognition of his efforts of supporting young people. Al-Eryani is a member of the Asian Wise Youth Council and had served as vice chairman of the AYC until 2016, besides his positions in the Yemeni government as minister for youth and sports for a while, for tourism for another, and most lately for information. The AYC is a non-governmental, youth-serving, regional organisation, formed in1972, to promote solidarity among young people in Asia. 12 Yemen representative to UN renews govt support to UN peace mediator Yemen s Permanent Representative to the United Nations, Khaled Hussein Alyemany,has renewed the government s support to the UN peace mediator to Yemen. In a statement to the UN Security Council on Tuesday, Alyemany said the government is ready to work with the UN Secretary General s Special Envoy for Yemen Martin Griffiths with a constructive and flexible spirit to reach a sustainable peace that puts an end to the state of destruction and puts down the war that the Houthi rebel militia has been waging since their coup d état in September He said that the search for peace in Yemenis guided by certain terms of reference that have rarely been available to any crisis in the world. He said that the Houthi militia has tried through its allies and friends to belittle these terms of reference and signal that they are in the helm of power and thus can never cede it back again. And (signal) that they can attack the Yemeni people and Yemen s neighboring countries and impose the rule of forceful repression and anarchy. He said that leaving the security of Yemen and the region in the hands the Houthi guerilla is the ultimate political risk. He said that no country can let a Hezbolla-style terrorist militia that receives finances and armament from a foreign country to govern its political life. He pointed to the flexibility of the government in the previous rounds of peace talks versus the maximalist attitude of the rebel militia. He said that the government welcomes Griffiths idea which he had raised during his meeting with President Abd- Rabbu Mansour Hadi in the past week to re-open Sana a Airport for humanitarian purposes under the supervision of the United Nations and to secure the ouster of the rebels from its administration. He said that the government had earlier been offering this very idea of re-opening the airport under the UN supervision. But he said that the normalization of life would only occur by ending the coup and restoration of the state. He called on the UN Security Council to make sure that the rebel militia get forced to abide by its resolutions and not rewarded for the crimes against humanity which they have committed, so as not to encourage armed militias in the world to go ahead in their insurgency against their governments and spread chaos and terrorism. He told the UN Security Council that your council has failed in pressuring Iran to stop its interferences in Yemen. He said that the rebel militia created the Yemeni people s humanitarian disaster and used it as a shield; disguised itself as a victim in the view of the international community. He called on the UNSC to pressure the rebel militia to stop refusing the peace initiatives and hold this militia accountable before the world.
