2 VP meets with Islamic Relief Organization Vice President (Lt Gen) Ali Mohssen Saleh met Monday with the delegation of the Islamic Relief Organization (Islamic Relief) around the world. The delegation headed by Mubark Assowikit, the organization s adviser. The meeting aimed to discuss relief and humanitarian actions provided by (Islamic Relief) in Yemen. The Vice President heard a report about the Islamic Relief role in humanitarian action around the world including Yemen where the organization has offices in several provinces and it has carried out projects all over Yemen. (Lt Gen ) Mohssen praised the Islamic Relief s role along with other organizations operate in relief and humanitarian actions, above all KSrelief Center, which have a significant role in mitigating the humanitarian crisis created by Houthi putschist coup. He also appreciated economic support for Yemen s economy by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia headed by Custodian of the Two Holly Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz al-saud and his Crown Prince, His Royal Highness (HRH) Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz. The Vice President stated that Houthis seek to further exacerbate Yemenis suffering, taking control over humanitarian aids provided by humanitarian organizations and devote humanitarian assistance to serve their ideological sectarian subversive policy. He urged humanitarian organization to increase efforts to improve the catastrophic humanitarian situation in Yemen. 3 VP meets with US Ambassador to our country Vice President (Lt Gen) Ali Mohssen Saleh met Tuesday with the American Ambassador to our country Mathew Tuller. The meeting intended to discus latest political developments, situations in national arena and means to further boosting cooperation relations between the two friendly countries. Discussions touched upon political developments and underway efforts aiming to establish peace in Yemen on the basis of the three terms of references including GCC s Initiative, its executive mechanism, outcomes of National Dialogue and International Security resolution 2216 in order eliminate the coup and restore the State. The Vice President appreciated the American friends principled stance in supporting legality, rejecting the coup, shoring up peaceful solution efforts and contributing to relief, shelter and humanitarian actions to alleviate the Yemeni peoples suffering. He also voiced his thanks for Americans for their cooperation in training Yemeni cadres in borders and coast guards. The Vice President cited legitimate government s assiduous effort backed by Saudi-led Arab Coalition aiming to restore the State, re-normalize situations, reestablish security and stability and achieving peace. He reaffirmed that legitimate leadership headed by President of Republic Commander-in-Chief, Field Marshal Abd-Rabbu Mansour Hadi has been very keen to make peace and put an end of the Yemeni peoples torment created by Iran-backed Houthi militia s coup d état. (Lt Gen) Mohssen pointed out to several obstructions and obstacles facing the legitimate government that require joint efforts and support by brethren and friends. These obstacles include economic crisis, slide of Yemeni national currency and prices rise. 4 VP, PM meet with UN s envoy to Yemen Vice President (Lt Gen) Ali Mohssen Saleh along with Prime Minister Dr Ahmed Obeid Bin-Dagher met Wednesday with the UN Secretary General Special envoy to Yemen Marten Griffiths. The meeting aimed to discuss the UN s underway good offices to reach peaceful solution in our country. The Vice President expressed his appreciation for the efforts have been exerted by the UN s envoy for establishing sustainable peace and alleviating Yemenis suffering. He reaffirmed that legitimate government headed by President of Republic, Commander-in-Chief, Field Marshal Abd-Rabbu Mansour Hadi has been committed to seek for durable peace that is based on the GCC s Initiative, its operational plan, outcomes of National Dialogue and UNSCR 2216, to put down the coup and restore the State. (Lt Gen) Mohssen stated that the legitimate government is keen on the Yemenis interest and making peace. To this end, the government dealt constructively with all peace s initiatives and talks, but the Houthi putschist militia has proved the opposite, responded recklessly to peace efforts, evaded planned consultations under unsounded reasons, pays no attention to the UN s efforts as it happened in Geneva s recent consultations. The Vice President said: Continuation of Houthi miliatia s oppressive policy against the citizens in the militia s controlled regions, militiamen s atrocities against the civilians including women students, continuous sectarian cannoning, mobilizing for war, looting the nation s resources and destabilizing regional and international security all suggest that the militia is committed to the option of war and violence, doesn t care about Yemeni bloods and souls. 5 Vice President, leaders of parties discuss latest political developments Vice President Ali Mohsen Saleh, along with Prime Minister Ahmad bin-daghr, discussed on Wednesday with leaders of political parties latest political developments in the country. Vice President confirmed the significance of the national role of the political parties towards current incidents in different political, economic and military levels and providing visions and prospects for the return of the legality(to Aden,)protecting national gains and commencing build of the federal Yemen of six regions. He pointed out that all Yemeni people receive their strength from the legality of President Hadi, which gets national, regional and international support. 6 Council of Ministers discusses economic, security situations in government-held provinces The Council of Ministers held a session Monday presided over by Prime Minister Dr Ahmed Obeid Bin-Dagher. The session devoted to discuss the ongoing developments and situations in several provinces including the temporary capital Aden and government controlled regions. The governors of the two governorates of Marib Maj. General Sultan Al- Arradah and Ramzi Muhroos contributed to the discussions. Economic situation and underway efforts aiming to maintain the value of national currency were elaborately discussed. Governor of Marib presented a detailed report about the development drive in the province, citing the efforts have been made by local authority in different fields. He also underscored challenges need to be addressed and the province s needs for developmental and services projects. The Cabinet commended the local authority s performance and efforts, highly appreciating the hospitality of Marib population who willingly hosting thousands of IDPs from different Yemeni regions that Houthi militia forced them to flee their own cities and villages since it has waged its war against the Yemenis amid Governor of Socotra also reported to the cabinet about security and military situations in the Archipelagos. He also touched upon local authority s efforts aimed to reinstate basic services in the archipelagos in the wake of the of the cyclones. The governor highlighted lacking regular flights of civil aviation as the most terrible problems the populations are complaining about, particularly in the cases of illness, businessmen and students who are studying outside the archipelagos. 7 Bin-Dagher: Govt. established package of measures to manage economic hardships Prime Minister Dr Ahmed Obeid Bin-Dagher received Wednesday US Ambassador to Yemen Mathew Tuller. Yemeni-American bilateral ties and cooperation, particularly in countering terrorism were elaborately discussed. The Prime Minister voiced Yemeni government s and peoples appreciation for the American s principled stance in supporting legitimate Yemeni leadership against Iran-backed Houthi militia s coup. Bin-Dagher stated that grassroots and reasons of the crisis in Yemen are political correlating to a militant militia s coup against official state s authorities, resulted in economic deterioration and ended up in the whole troubles the country has been struggling with. He plainly blamed Iranian s spoiler role for destabilizing the entire region including Yemen where Iran has continued to supply Houthi putschist militia with ballistic missiles to target Saudi Arabia in flagrant breach of the International Security Council resolution The Prime Minister said the Yemeni government has devoted its efforts to get political solution to the Yemeni crisis on the basis of the three terms of reference. 8 PM: We reject any practices for splitting Yemen Prime Minister Ahmad Obeid bin-daghr has confirmed the leading role of state media outlets for serving national issues and supporting legality led by President Abd-Rabbo Mansour Hadi for facing the coup and its dangerous repercussions. In his meeting with heads of the state media outletsattended by Minister of Information Muamar al-iryani and his deputies- on Monday, bin-daghr discussed with them performance of different media outlets and requirements for promoting the performance to face aftermaths of the Houthi militia s coup and national duties for facing it. He confirmed rejection of any practices could encourage splitting Yemen, the coup against the republic and the two revolutions of September and October. Houthi militias have destroyed all state institutions led by information institutions and their try to remove the national identity and the revolution s value, said bin-daghr, adding so that we have been keen on re-building them despite scarcity of resources and lack of capabilities. He added that there are a number of information projects to be carried out soon and improve informational work. 9 The Yemeni Government has strongly condemned the putschist militia s recurring atrocities against armless civilians in the capital Sana a, as it happened recently by assaulting Sana a University s female students, arresting them and taking some of them into unknown place where nobody knows about their fate. In a statement to the Yemeni News Agency (Saba) obtained a copy of, the Government said This offense comes within several similar atrocities carried out by Iran-backed Houthi Govt. condemns Houthi militia s atrocities against Sana a University s girls militia against the civilians since it has waged the war on the Yemenis more some two decades.. the militia basically has been established on the basis of violations, violence and terrorism. The statement added The Yemeni Government while it denounces such terrorist practices, it stresses the Yemenis rights to cry out against the putschist militia which destroyed life, carried out coup against the state and order, looted the state s foreign currency reserves estimated at $5 billion. The statement indicated that the militia committed-- it has continued to do hundreds of crimes and violation against the civilians since it has carried out the coup d état in September 2014, pays no attention to international and humanitarian laws, nor moral norms. The Government called on the Intel, UN and interested humanitarian organizations to condemn these systematic and repeated crimes the putschist militia has been committing on daily basis. Yemeni-Gulf meeting discusses preparations for facing tropical storm Minister of Social Affairs and Labor, the Deputy Head of Relief Supreme Committee Dr. Ibtihaj al-kamal discussed with GCC Relief and Humanitarian Aid Coordination Office to Yemen preparations for providing relief and humanitarian support to provinces expected to be affected by the tropical storm Loban. Al-Kamal provided inclusive review on developments of humanitarian condition in Yemen and the process of the relief aid in the provinces. She touched upon providing support to districts of Baidh a and Hajja provinces and continuous support to western coast areas and a number of provinces witnessing difficult humanitarian and emergency conditions. She expressed government s condemnation of continuously hindering humanitarian and relief activities by Houthi militia, calling the international organizations to denounce Houthi militia over these acts and take necessary measures to stop them. 10 Militia s abduction of Sana a University s girls unprecedented moral offense, says Minister Minister of Social Affairs and Labor Dr Ebtihaj Al-Kamal strongly condemned and incriminated Houthi putschist militia for kidnapping 15 women from Sana a University, physically assaulting them and jailing them, describing this incident a flagrant violation of woman s rights and International and Humanitarian Laws. In press release Al-Kamal stated that assaulting women and kidnapping them is a dangerous unprecedented episode in a series of Houthi militia s criminal and brutal atrocities against the Yemenis. Such brutal and moral offense haven t been committed in our society, nobody did it earlier, but Houthi putschist militia, Al-Kamal said. The Minister, Member of High Council of Arab Woman, called on the UN High Commissionaire for Human Rights and other interested organizations to document these crimes, condemn and report about the UN. Minister wraps up a week long field- trips to frontlines Minister of Information Muamer Al-Iryani accompanied by media team concluded Sunday the 3rd round of field visits to the battlefields in the provinces of Hajjah, Sa ada and Al-Baidha. Along with 15-member media team represent official and state-owned media outlets Al-Iryan went on a week-long tour started in the province of Hajjah where they paid field visits to troops in the two fronts of Haradh and Hairan. Then they moved to Sa ada province, visiting the two fronts of Baqim and Al-Malaheedh. The team, which also included artists and poets, concluded its tour by inspecting combat operations in frontlines battles in Al-Baidha province. The Minister-led media team s field trips aimed to help reporters reach to frontlines where the government s troops have been battling Iranbacked Houthi militia. The field-visit enabled the journalists to get firsthand facts about military advancements gained by the government s military. 11 Minister of Local Administration, the Head of the Supreme Relief Committee, Abdulraqeeb Fatah has directed local authorities in Socotra, Mahra, Hadhramout and Shabwa to make operation rooms to follow up effects of the tropical storm and warn Fatah directs local authorities to make operational rooms to follow up cyclone people and ships to be away of danger. He demanded the Humanitarian Affairs Coordinator in Yemen Liza Grande to inform the United Nations to take necessary measures of providing shelter and relief items and keeping medical teams in the provinces and places expected to be affected in a state of high alert. Fatah: Houthi militia holds back ships laden with food, fuels Minister of Local Administration Chairman of Supreme Relief Committee Abdulraqeeb Fatah revealed that Houthi putschist militia holding 10 ships loaded fuels and food stuffs in the seaport of Hodeidah, preventing unloading their shipments, some ships have been detained since six months. In statement to the Yemeni News Agency (Saba) Fatah stated that a ship named (Distya Pushti) anchored in the port last September 28 laden with tons of diesel and 9025 tons of petrol. The ship (RINA) docked on October 3 carried out 5700 tons of flour and sugar. The militia didn t allow unloading the cargo. He noted that the ship (SINCERO) arrived last September 26 laden with tons of diesel. While the ship CSRPE DIEM-2 arrived on September 30 loaded tons of diesel. The ship called PVT EAGLE arrived on October 3 carrying out 7022 tons of diesel and of petrol. The ships haven t yet been allowed to unload their shipments. Six ships more laden with fuels and commercial stuffs were held for different periods over the past three months. The Minister noted that the militia has deliberately opted to this measure simultaneously with creating fuels crisis and imposed extra fees on fuels reached up to 06% and promote black markets controlled by the militia s loyal merchants. 12 Ministry of Health receives 7 ambulances provided by KSrelief Center, ERCS Ministry of Public Health and Population received Tuesday seven ambulances provided by KSrelief Center and Emirati Red Crescent Society (ERCS) in coordination with International Organization for Migration (IOM) in Aden. Minister of Public Health and Population Dr Nasser Ba-aum stated that the seven vehicles are set to be distributed to Basoheib Hospital in Aden, Al- Khokha Hospital in Hodeidah, Al-Dale a, Lahj, Hudramout, Shabawah and Socotra. Dr Basoheib revealed that a number of ambulances are going to be offered by Kuwait to be distributed to health facilities in Aden, Abyan, Taiz, Hodeidah and Al-Jawf. In a joint release issued by the political parties on Monday, the parties said Yemen would have been enjoying security and stability if Houthis did not overthrow the political process, reject the national consensus and political settlement, seize the state institutions by force, waging war against all rivals and reject all solutions made by initiatives. The parties also expressed rejection of positions adopted by the so-called the Southern Transitional Council and any other policies hindering the state s work and considered any move within this frame threaten the social peace and national consistence. Herewith, the political parties called on the transitional council to review its political address and transfer into a political approach for unifying all national fronts for facing the coup and express its demand through partnership in accordance with applied laws. The parties confirm that the economic collapse has started when Houthi militia took control of the Central Bank of Yemen, seized the state resources, played with the cash reserve and depleted all deposits and government s accounts in different institutions. Without the help of the Arab Coalition, the Yemeni economy would have been fully collapsed, added the parties. While the political parties support efforts and measures taken by the government for tackling deteriorated economic conditions and facing the collapse of the national currency, it demand the government to take necessary measures including handing over revenues of taxes, customs and any other government s revenues in all provinces to the central bank and regaining the process of exporting oil and gas, operating ports, oil company and Aden Refineries, and combating corruption. The political parties confirm the central role of the Arab Coalition in regaining the state and facing challenges and dangers facing Yemen and value the efforts of the coalition in all other fields.
