2 King Salman receives President Hadi in Jeddah The Custodian of the two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdul-Aziz received on Wednesday President Abd- Rabbo Mansour Hadi here and the two leaders discussed brotherly relations between the two countries and enhancing brotherly coordination. President Hadi expressed pleasure for meeting his brother King Salman and valued brotherly positions towards Yemen and the kingdom support to Yemen and its constitutional legitimacy. These positions will continue to be remembered by the Yemeni people for embodying the integrated objective and joint destination between the two countries and peoples, said President Hadi. King Salma expressed pleasure for receiving President Hadi and confirmed permanent support of the Kingdom to Yemen and its constitutional legality under President. President Hadi receives Saudi Crown Prince President Abd-Raboo Mansour Hadi received on Thursday Saudi Crown Prince, The Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense Mohammad bin-salman and discussed with him a number of issues concerning the two countries. President Hadi highlighted Saudi positions towards Yemen in different fields and situations. He confirmed that the objectives of the Firmness Military Storm and Hope Restoration will continue until achieving Yemen s peace and stability and the stability of the region. 4 President Hadi orders Petromaseala to provide Al-Mahara province with 500 thousand liters of diesel President Abd-Rabbu Mansour Hadi ordered Saturday that Petromaseala National Company should immediately provide Al-Mahara province with 500 thousand liters of diesel form the Company s strategic reservoirs. 6 Bin-Dagher: Successive victories undermine militia s capacities, bring Prime Minister Dr Ahmed Obeid Bin-Dagher gave national military troops and local resistance fighters high praise for the successive advancements they have gained against the Houthi putschist militia in the front-line battles in the west coast, Taiz, Lahj, Al-Baidha, Marib, Al-Jawf and Sa ada. 9 Fatah chairs a meeting of SRC to review relief actions in the wake of Sagar, Mekunu cyclones Minister of Local Administration Chairman of Supreme Relief Committee (SRC) Abdulraqeeb Fatah chaired a meeting Wednesday of the SRC devoted to discuss several topics in relevant to relief and humanitarian actions. The meeting included Minister of Social Affairs and Labor, Deputy chairwoman of the SRC, Dr Ebtihaj Al-Kamal, Minister of Transport, member of the SRC, Saleh Al-Jabwani, Deputy Minister of Local Administration, member of the SRC, Abdulsalam Ba-Abbood and Deputy Minister of Health Dr Shawqi Asharjabi. The meeting elaborately discussed the efforts have been made to manage the consequences of Sagar and Mekunu cyclones in the provinces of Socotra, Al- Mahara, Hudramout, Aden and Abyan. The meeting has approved to keep on communicating and coordinating with the donors and international organizations that can relieve the people in need and support the local authorities in the affected provinces. The meeting also touched upon how to provide quickly the urgently needed humanitarian and relief aids to the people in need in the province of Hodeida and western coastal regions which have been wrested back from the putschist militia. The meeting deeply appreciated the responsive humanitarian role of the GCC s member states in providing relief, medical and sheltering stuffs immediately to help the people in the provinces which suffered the natural disasters. Governor of Socotra inaugurates shelter aid at Nowjadh district The Governor of Socotra Ramzi Mahroos, along with the reconstruction team composed of Abdul Aziz Mutraq, Engineer Saud Al-Shammari and Eng. Arafat Al-Barqani, inaugurated the distribution of shelter aid provided by King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) to the people of Naw jadh district in the archipelago province of Socotra. 10 Fisheries Minister, UN team discuss relief aid priorities in Socotra Minister of Fisheries Fahd Kafayen discussed with a delegation from different United Nations organizations the urgent priorities of relief work in the Socotra which was hit by the cyclonic storm Mekunu last week. The UN delegation is currently visiting Socotra to assess the needs of the people of the archipelago province in the aftermath of the cyclone that hit it Socotra governor meets UN delegation, warns of humanitarian disaster Governor of Socotra Ramzi Mahroos received today a delegation from different United Nations organizations who came to assess the needs of the people of the archipelago province in the aftermath of the cyclone Mekunu that hit and other parts of Yemen. The delegation will conduct field visits and prepare a comprehensive report on the situation in the archipelago within a duration of one week. Pointing to the extent of the damage caused to Mekunu, Mahroos said the archipelago is yet to face a season of winds that often interrupts supply to the islands, another disaster in addition to Mekunu. He said that Socotra s local authority had procured four months worth of food stuff before Mekunu struck destroying the ships laden with thousands of tons of commodities and caused dozens of merchants to lose millions of Riayls. Now, he said, the province is without any food up stocked on for the winds season, while the available foodstuff barely covers a single month s worth of consumption. He said that an acute humanitarian disaster is looming unless the humanitarian organizations do something. The head of the UN visiting delegation Taha Ebrahim said that the aim of the visit to Socotra Archipelago is to look at the most important needs of the province that had been affected by Mekunu and we will work to convey a clear idea to the United Nations and other parts of Yemen. He briefed the delegation on the damages that the cyclone left in the archipelago which on the UNESCO World Heritage list. Talks went over the damage caused to the fish and agricultural sector, and the impact on fishermen s livelihood organizations about those needs. He pointed out that the team will have discussions with the competent agencies and the humanitarian organizations working in Socotra. He said that the most important problem faced by the United Nations organizations in Socotra is the lack of a clear plan for humanitarian response and any interventions can only rest on such a plan. He said that his team will work to submit a comprehensive report that determines Socotra s needs and the type of interventions needed.
