1 ISAF GROWS THIS YEAR, TOO. 17 th ISAF was held in a total area of m 2 in the 9 th, 10 th, and 11 th halls at The Istanbul Expo Center from September 19 th, 2013 to September 22 nd, ISAF that has been growing at a percentage of two-digit numbers in comparison with the previous year since the first year it was founded grew at a two-digit percentage in every field in 2013, too. ISAF that began to be held in 3 halls in 2012 increased its area from m2 to m2 so as to cover almost the entire area of the three halls. Being among the noteworthy activities that are known and followed by all the companies that operate in the sector in the world was visited by professionals from 56 countries including Turkiye, USA, Afghanistan, Germany, Austria, Azerbaijan, Bangladesh, Belgium, UAE, Bulgaria, Algeria, Czech Republic, China, Indonesia, Armenia, Morocco, Finland, France, South Korea, Holland, Iraq, England, Iran, Israel, Spain, Switzerland, Sweden, Italy, Japan, Qatar, Kazakhstan, Kenya, Cyprus, Kosovo, Libya, Lebanon, Macedonia, Egypt, Moldova, Uzbekistan, Pakistan, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Russia, Syria, Saudi Arabia, Slovenia, Sudan, Taiwan, Tunis, Uganda, Ukraine, Jordan, Yemen, and Greece. The international interest in Turkiye that has been ranking high in recent years among the growing economies of the world was observed in ISAF, too. ISAF Exhibition which is by all means participated in by participants from all the countries that manufacture and export in the sectors which are covered received great interest from the companies that lead their sectors in Turkiye. Companies from the USA, Germany, Azerbaijan, Bulgaria, China, France, South Cyprus, India, England, Iran, Spain, Italy, Japan, Canada, Hungary, Peru, Poland, Romania, Singapore, Taiwan, and Greece opened their booths in the Exhibition that has begun to have difficulties meeting the necessity for vacant areas for new participants. In addition to these countries, products of companies from Austria, Belgium, the UAE, Brazil, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, South Korea, Croatia, Holland, Ireland, Israel, Sweden, Switzerland, Latvia, Lithuania, Malaysia, Portugal, Russia, Slovenia, and New Zealand were exhibited in the exhibition through their distributors. During the exhibition that had a very successful opening this year, the inaugural speeches were made by Feridun Tascı, Deputy General Director, Turkish National Police, on behalf of the Ministry of Interior, and Hasan Huseyin Cevik, Prof.Dr., on behalf of the Police Academy, and Feridun Bayram, General Manager, Marmara Fair Organization, on behalf of the organization. 2 This year, ISAF and 2 very significant conferences were successfully held synchronously. 12 main sessions were held at the Security&Safety Conference which is the one and only in Turkiye and covers the issues of security and occupational health&safety. Having proved significant improvement in comparison with the previous year the IT Security Conference which is the only one in Turkiye in the field of information security was held in 8 sessions. ISAF Exhibition which has directed and contributed to the development of the sector, helped the sub-sectors widen, and allowed the users to have access to products of higher quality at lower costs since the first its was held has managed to get all the participants and especially our companies that offer products and services to think beyond the domestic markets and introduced them to these markets for the last two years as a consequence of the targeted operations. Aiming to be the meeting point of the whole world on sectoral basis in 2014, ISAF will open its doors from September 18 th, 2014 to September 21 st, 2014 at the Istanbul Expo Center again. organizasyon@marmarafuar.com.tr Page 2

3 Each field of ISAF Exhibition that was held so as to cover 5 main fields grew and developed in terms of different features. ISAF Exhibition on the basis of projects; 17 th INTERNATIONAL ISAF SECURITY EXHIBITION ISAF Security that constitutes the most important part of ISAF has this year proved significant improvement in terms of quality. All the leading players of the sector have begun to take their places in ISAF Security Exhibition. All of the leading brands of the world in this field have definitely and completely participated in ISAF Security Exhibition either directly or via their distributors. Products from 448 companies were exhibited in an area of m 2 gross and 6.144m 2 net at the Exhibition which was directly participated in by 138 domestic and 59 international companies from 20 countries. ISAF Security Exhibition where the latest trends are followed and the latest technologies appear has this year been an arena where all the participants have made their preparations to go one step further than their competitors. 17 th INTERNATIONAL ISAF FIRE EXHIBITION ISAF Fire Exhibition that is the only Exhibition of the fire sector in Turkiye was held in Hall 11 due to the goals planned for the growth of the Exhibition. The most important development of ISAF Fire Exhibition which grew by 15% in comparison with the previous year was in the international field. The interest that was this year shown in ISAF Fire Exhibition which continues its growth has proven that the growth targeted for the Exhibition will substantially occur every year.. Products from 97 companies were exhibited in an area of 2.200m 2 gross and 1.319m 2 net at the Exhibition which was directly participated in by 50 domestic and 26 international companies from 12 countries. 2 nd ISAF SAFETY-HEALTH EXHIBITION ISAF Safety&Health Exhibition that was first held in 2012 has become an activity much expected by the sector within the country. ISAF Safety&Health Exhibition that has been accelerated by the important movement and dynamism brought about by the new legislation in the field of occupational health and safety has in its second year grown by 110% in comparison with the previous year. ISAF Safety&Health Exhibition that is also supported by the General Directorate of Occupational Health, Ministry of Labor and Social Security, and all the nongovernmental organizations was followed by experts of Occupational Health and Security from all over Turkiye. Products from 32 international and 58 domestic companies were exhibited in an area of 2.500m 2 gross and 1.487m 2 net at the Exhibition which was participated in by 90 companies from 9 countries including Turkiye. organizasyon@marmarafuar.com.tr Page 3

4 2 nd ISAF IT SECURITY EXHIBITION ISAF IT Security Exhibition which is, due to its content, one of the most important topics of ISAF Exhibition that is held on the basis of total security and comfort constituted an important place at the Exhibition this year. IT Security Exhibition which covers the issues of Information Security that is today the most important part of security hosted 50 participants in an area of 750m 2 gross and 426m 2 net. Products of 73 companies from 23 countries were exhibited at the Exhibition which 26 foreign participants from 11 countries including Turkiye participated in. IT Security Conference which we held at the same as Information, Data and Network Security Exhibition on September this year was the most comprehensive activity held about this field in Turkiye. 2 nd ISAF SMART HOUSES EXHIBITION As we have today started to use smart systems in entire lives of ours thanks to the developing technologies, ISAF Smart Houses Exhibition covering Smart Buildings and Building Automation received a great deal of interest from visitors. That almost all the products of ISAF Exhibition participants belonged to the companies that operate in the field of Smart Buildings and Building Automation played an important role in allowing the visitors to easily find what they were looking for. 77 companies from 10 countries opened stands at ISAF Smart Houses Exhibition that receives more interest every day. Products of 95 companies from 26 countries were exhibited in an area of 1.200m 2 gross and 704m 2 net. 2 nd SECURITY&SAFETY CONFERENCE Security&Safety Conference that was held for the second time this year was held on September with the support of Police Academy, Ministry of Labor and Social Security, Marmara Exhibition Organization and various nongovernmental organizations. 5 2 nd IT SECURITY CONFERENCE IT Security Conference which covers IT (Information Technologies) security that has become one of the most important issues of today was held on September 19-20, 2013 within the scope of ISAF that is the only Exhibition of the security sector in Turkiye. As everything has today been moved into the electronic environment, the rapid increase in the need for information security and the variety of the solutions for this need in parallel with the questions about how to produce and store data mark the need for IT Security Conference. Leading institutions and bodies of their sectors delivered speeches at IT Security Conference. Prominent session topics were as follows: - How to Intervene in Cyber Incidents - Cyber Security Initiative - Where Does IT Security Lead in Turkiye and the World? - Path To Development: Brand and Patent - Standards and Regulations in Security: Opportunity or Difficulty? - New Technologies and Security - Turkish Standards Institute Information Technologies Security Techniques - 2. Mirror Committee Assembly ISAF IN THE MEDIA The opening of ISAF Exhibition that was held on September 19-22, 2013, received great interest from the media. ISAF Exhibition that was published in each and every of the sectoral publications appeared widely in electronic media, too.
