3 PPBA NEWSLETTER OCTOBER VISIONS OF CULLEN PARK UPDATES VISIONS OF CULLEN PARK UPDATES ` Thanks to Scott Carpenter of Metroparks we now have a supply of brochures for the Maumee River Water Trail which extends from the Indiana State Line to downtown Toledo. Intended for kayaks and canoes, Cullen Park is one of the 39 stops along the way. Had it not been for all the volunteers and donations to build the kayak/canoe dock launch site this would not be happening. This Visions project was provided with NO COST to the City of Toledo. Thanks are in order again to all who made it possible. It should have an economic impact on the community which was the ultimate goal. The brochures are available at the kiosk at Cullen Park. There are hanging boxes available on the kiosk for anyone who wants to promote their business. The next meeting is Wed., Oct. 24 at 6:30pm at CrossPoint Church. Our guest will be Officer Dave O'Brien who retired after 30 years of service to the community. He was a true partner in many of our ventures and a wonderful example. He was dedicated to fighting crime and unacceptable situations. We salute and thank him. The meetings are open to everyone. Join us! Till the next time, Vee. veestader@gmail.com
