4 LOCAL CONNECTION SCHOLARSHIP CONNECTION AWM Scholarship Texas Conference for Women Application Process A drawing will be held for 10 individual tickets for members for the AWM Austin table at the event. In order to have your name entered in the drawing, the following is required: Must be a current and paid AWM Member Must submit a professional recommendation from a manager or co-worker Must submit a written request as to why you would like to attend, max 500 words Must be able to attend the full day of the conference 730a-530p (hours subject to change) Must be able to attend a future AWM Board Meeting and provide feedback on the conference. Please submit your name, contact phone number, professional recommendation and reason for wanting to attend via word doc or pdf to info@awmaustin.org by Friday, October 19 at 5pm. AWM Austin Entry Rules for a Texas Conference for Women Ticket There are ten (10) tickets that will be given away. Only one (1) ticket per person. Three (3) alternate names will be drawn in case a winner is unable to attend. No entries will be accepted after 5pm CST on Friday, October 19th. Winners will be notified by phone no later than Friday, October 26 th at 5pm CST. Each winner has until 5pm CST on Tuesday, October 30 th to confirm acceptance of the ticket before it is offered to an alternate. If you are unable to attend the conference, please contact Emily Cohen (512) or emily.cohen@austin.utexas.edu so your ticket can be re-allocated to an alternate. If you are a no show to the conference, AWM Austin will bill you $185 for the cost of the ticket. Visit to learn more!

6 SCHOLARSHIP CONNECTION AWM Austin is proud to award scholarships to college students studying media (or related field) at a university in the Austin area.. Please encourage the outstanding college students among your families, friends and colleagues to apply. One $5000 scholarship will be awarded in 2019 to be used for undergraduate tuition and will be administered by the respective Financial Aid Office of the recipient. Student must be present at the 2019 Trailblazers and Awards of Excellence Gala on April 25 to accept award. Your support of AWM Austin helps make this scholarship possible. Thank you!
