Adequate notice has been provided by prominently posting and maintaining so posted throughout the year in the Hunterdon County Soil Conservation District Administrative Office 687 Pittstown Road, Frenchtown, New Jersey, and by mailing to the Hunterdon County Democrat newspaper and by filing with the Hunterdon County Clerk a schedule of the times and dates of such meetings." CALL TO 7:06 AM by John Van Nuys, District Chairman MINUTES: MOTION: Manners, 2 nd Mathews; To accept the minutes of the April 14, 2015 meeting as mailed. MOTION APPROVED BY UNANIMOUS VOTE. CORRESPONDENCE: Douglas H. Fisher, Secretary of Agriculture, Re: Status of Hydrologic and Hydraulic Data Entry - A letter was drafted to Sec. Fisher thanking him and reassuring him that the Hunterdon District will have their data entry completed by the end of June and the projected amount of basins to enter was higher than what we actually have. MOTION APPROVED BY UNANIMOUS VOTE OLD BUSINESS: Supervisors Nominating Committee Committee met two weeks ago to review John Van Nuys record. It was unanimous to re-nominate Van Nuys. Approvals will be made at the next State Committee meeting. The board will need to choose a replacement for committee member Ernie Kuster next year. No action is needed at this time. NEW BUSINESS: Exempt Municipalities Report: Engisch reviewed the Exempt Municipalities procedures. All municipalities have entered into agreement with the District. MOTION: Stothoff, 2 nd Manners; To approve the municipality satisfactory rating. MOTION APPROVED BY UNANIMOUS VOTE Budget Budget was read at last Freeholders meeting and passed. The District will receive $60,000 (same as last year) instead of the $65,000 we requested. The District should receive first half sometime in June. REQUEST FOR ASSISTANCE Chad Cherefko, NRCS District Conservationist presented one Request for Assistance: Thomas Sandore Alexandria Twp. 70 acres Grazing After a brief discussion, a motion was made: MOTION: Mathews, 2 nd Manners; To approve the Request for Assistance and have District Chairman sign the requests. NRCS staff will fulfill the request as per the agency s agreement with the District. MOTION APPROVED BY UNANIMOUS VOTE. 8
