Briefing on the positions that are left unfilled te/action Mr. Xiong Yifang clarified that the timing for presentation and Q&A session will be as follows: - President: 20 minutes speech, 1 hour Q&A - Vice-President: 10 minutes speech, 45 minutes Q&A - Junior EXCOs: 5 minutes, 20 minutes Q&A Item 1: Election of NTUSU Executive Committee 20 th Students Union Executive Committee 1. Students Union President: Running candidate: Mr. Yeo Kai Xiang (elected into position) Plan for services: - Shuttle Bus Service

3 - SBS 179A te/action - U-Study Campaign - Peer Tutoring - Lecture Recording - Computer and Printing Service - Union Van Marketing the Union - NTUSU exhibition once a month to let students know more about the Union s activities. Voting results: ( =31 total valid votes) Mr Xiong Yifang cannot vote as he is the Council chairperson. Mr. Tok Rui Shen and Mr. Liu Zelai and Ms Aneesha Subramanium were absent during this round, reducing the total vote count by *Mr. Tok Rui Shen and Ms Aneesha Subramanium entered at 2020hrs. The total valid vote count will increase by 2 from this point onwards. 2. Students Union Vice-President (Business and Corporate Communications) Running candidate: Mr. Goh Chong Yang (elected into position) - Targets: expand the NTUSU business wing, improve student

4 activities. te/action - NTUSU Co-op - Feedback link in every NTUSU - Union Designer Team - Union Exhibition Week - Centralized online registration system (create a portal and incorporate this function into the NTUSU website) Voting results: ( =32 total valid votes) Mr Xiong Yifang cannot vote as he is the Council chairperson and Ms Tung Kwai Jie Crystal and Mr. Liu Zelai are absent for this round Students Union Vice President (Welfare and Student Activities) Running candidate: Ms Tung Kwai Jie Crystal (elected into position) - Represent NTUSU in meetings with the University administration. - Functions as the key directors to the Junior EXCOs. - In charge of: Student Relations Executive, Student Services Executive, Welfare Executive, Orientation Executive and

5 Events Executive. te/action - Improve on tutorial room system for U-Study campaign. - Blue-ribbon Commission (BRC): Try to push for more transparency from the NTU University Administration. Voting results: (35-1-1=33 total valid votes) Mr Xiong Yifang cannot vote as he is the Council chairperson and Mr. Liu Zelai is absent for this round * Mr. Liu Zelai entered the meeting at 2145hrs, increasing the total valid vote count to 34. ** Mr. Wan Ming Kong Danny, Vice President (Support) of CAC left the meeting at 2155hrs and was replaced by Ms Wong Mei Yen, Honorary General Secretary of CAC. The total vote count remains the same. **^ Ms Tanya Low proposed a 5 minutes break; Mr. Ramanan Kumarasamy seconded the proposal. The LE position will be open for elections during the third Council meeting.

6 4. Students Union Logistics Executive te/action running candidates. Mr. Yeo Kai Xiang, elected NTUSU President, clarified with the Council that as there were no running candidates for the position of Logistics Executive, the next elected Human Resource Executive will be the acting Logistics Executive in the meantime. 5. Students Union Welfare Executive Running candidates: i. Ms Ang Hua Huang (elected into position) - Peer tutoring scheme - Canteen Committee - U-Study Campaign - Sub-committee members recruited must be up to standard, committed and sincere about joining the committee. - Slogans/facts for the U-Study campaign to be put up in notice boards. Voting results: ( =32 total valid votes) Mr Xiong Yifang cannot vote as he is the Council chairperson; Mr Yin Bangqi is not allowed to vote during this round; Miss Sonali rest of this Council Meeting

7 te/action *Ms Sonali Prasad had to leave as she had an urgent matter to attend to. The matter was explained to the Council and it was agreed that she could leave the meeting at 2230hrs. ii. Mr. Yin Bangqi (not elected into position) - Reading room patrolling (new online booking system) - U-Study Campaign - SAC study area - Change of ECA points system for the Peer Tutoring Scheme Voting results: ( =32 total valid votes) Mr Xiong Yifang cannot vote as he is the Council chairperson; Ms Ang Hua Huang is not allowed to vote during this round; Miss Sonali rest of this Council Meeting * Mr. Yin Bangqi will have to resign as Union Representative of EEE club as he has failed to be elected into office after two tries. He will cease to be a member of the Council from this point onwards and is required to leave the Council meeting at 2311hrs. The SRE position will be open for elections during the third

Students Union Student Relations Executive running candidates. *Ms Song Sharon, Vice President (Events Management) of CAC, arrived at 2315hrs, replacing Ms. Wong Mei Yen. The total vote count remains the same. 7. Students Union Student Services Executive Running candidates: Mr. Yan Xia (elected into position) - NTU Shuttle Bus Committee - Liaising with SBS Transit on public transportation issues - IT & printing services committee Voting results: ( =32 total valid votes) Mr Xiong Yifang cannot vote as he is the Council chairperson; Miss Sonali rest of this Council Meeting; Mr. Yin Bangqi ceased to be a Council member and has his voting rights revoked Students Union Events Executive

Mr. Richard Phua (not elected into position) - Help ensure budget surplus and sufficient reserves. - Speed up reimbursements. - Use knowledge in Accounting to serve the NTUSU as a Financial Controller. Ms Sia Ming Shuan (elected into position) - Previously the Publicity Director of the 6 th HSS Club Main Committee. - Interned as a tax assistant at Ernst and Young, one of the largest accounting firms in Singapore. - Get claims from the school more efficiently.
