During the chairman's address, Hoogmoed focused on "One Industry United" in which he stressed the importance of the "interdependence and interconnected nature of our various industry sectors." Bart Chilton, commissioner at the Commodity Futures Trading Commission, was a featured speaker at the convention. NGFA's annual convention in San Francisco attracted more than 600 attendees, who represented all sectors of the industry from country, terminal and export elevators to feed manufacturers and allied industries. Members of the North American Export Grain Association also conducted their annual meeting in conjunction with NGFA. NGFA is looking forward to another strong year for the 118th annual convention in Hilton Head next year (March 30 to April 1).
