MOTION TO EXTEND DEADLINE FOR STAFF S REPORT IN THE ABOVE-STYLED MATTER The Public Service Commission issued a Procedural Order on December 14, 2005, establishing March 21, 2006, as the deadline for the Staff to file its report in the above- referenced matter. Applicant files this Motion requesting an extension of time for thirty (30) days in which Staff must file its report, and a sixty (60) day extension of the Administrative Law Judge s current decision, which is due May 30, Protests to the issuance of the sought rate increase and charges have been filed with the Commission. As grounds for this Motion, applicant states that the current date for the filing of Staffs report is March 21, 2006; that Staff has requested additional information from applicant; and that, pursuant to the Interim Recommended Decision entered December 2, 2005, an additional notice must be provided by applicant to the public following the issuance of Staffs report for permanent rates. Applicant desires adequate time in which to review Staffs final recommendation prior to a hearing. WHEREFORE, the District respectfully requests that the Commission extend the time in which Staff must file its report to April 21, 2006, and extend the time in which the 1
