TEDx Concordia Proposal Motion -18 Whereas, TED X Concordia is a great opportunity for graduate students to be exposed to a larger stage of ideas sharing, Whereas, GSA has a sustainability policy that requires ensuring that collaboration takes place only with sustainability conscious organizations, and also requires that volunteers are recognized in the Concordia Co-Curricular Record (CCR) Whereas, the GSA has passed an accessibility policy encouraging events it contributes towards to be accessible, BIRT GSA funds TED X Concordia with the requested amount of $4000 given that TED X Concordia commits to the following: 1) Ensure a sustainable event (for example, having compost bins to responsibly manage food waste) 2) Ensure that all their Concordia volunteers are recognized in the CCR (i.e. add event to the CCR data base and provide the office of the dean of students with a list of the volunteers) 3) Ensure that the venue chosen is accessible to those with mobility challenges.
