6 February 7, 2018 Minutes The meeting was called to order at 6:15pm by. The meeting was held at the (City Council area) 333 East First Street, Genoa, IL Also present was board and Chief Smith representing the Police Department. was absent for the meeting. Mr. Anderson made a motion to approve the minutes for the on October 18, 2017 meeting, seconded by Mr. Slavenas, motion carried. There was no Old Business to discuss. Chief Smith informed the board that there have been no recent disciplinary issues within the department. The department is back at full strength, with an officer returning from a work injury. There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 6:33pm on a motion from Mr. Anderson, seconded by Mr. Slavenas, motion carried. Next meeting is scheduled for April 18, 2018 at 6:00pm.
7 February 7, 2018 Minutes The meeting to be held on 4/18/18 at 6:00 pm was cancelled. Next meeting is scheduled for July 18, 2018 at 6:00pm.
8 July 18, 2018 Minutes The meeting was called to order at 6:00pm by. The meeting was held at the (City Council area) 333 East First Street, Genoa, IL Also present was board member and Sergeant Edwards representing the Police Department. Board was absent for the meeting. Mr. Anderson made a motion to approve the minutes for the on February 7, 2018 meeting, seconded by Mr. Gallagher, motion carried. (The meeting scheduled for April 18, 2018 was cancelled) There was no Old Business to discuss. Sergeant Edwards informed the board that the City allowed the department to hire an additional full-time officer. The officer selected was the number one person currently on the eligibility list Adam Schuring. Adam was already working for the department as a part-time officer and should transition over with no issues. There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 6:30pm on a motion from Mr. Anderson, seconded by Mr. Gallagher, motion carried. Next meeting is scheduled for October 17, 2018 at 6:00pm.

The meeting was held at the (City Council area) 333 East First Street, Genoa, IL Also present was board member and Officer Hathcoat representing the Police Department. Board was absent for the meeting. made a motion to approve the minutes for the on July 18, 2018 meeting, seconded by Mr. Gallagher, motion carried. There was no Old Business to discuss. Future Items: Police recruit and Sergeant testing process will begin The meeting was adjourned at 6:15pm on a motion from Mr. Slavenas, seconded by Mr. Gallagher, motion carried. Next meeting is scheduled for January 16, 2019 at 6:00pm.
