Tonight, you ll learn WHY RECORD-NUMBERS OF WOMEN ARE CHOOSING LIFE on the sidewalk in front of abortion facilities -- along with other monumental victories for LIFE! WHAT'S AT STAKE IN THE 2016 ELECTION -- and what you need to do NOW to advance the pro-life cause as we near Election Day... THE WINNING PLAN TO END ABORTION -- no matter who wins the White House... TWO HUGE ANNOUNCEMENTS that will share groundbreaking strategic plans to mobilize more people and save more lives than ever before... And HOW YOU CAN BE A PART OF ENDING ABORTION right in your town or city!
The Problem
The Solution Former abortion providers tell us that peaceful sidewalk advocacy / sidewalk counseling was the activity that most devastated their business. Former Planned Parenthood Director Abby Johnson says that when there s a peaceful, prayerful outreach presence at an abortion facility, Planned Parenthood regularly documents up to a 75% cancellation rate! And Then There Were None (ATTWN) abortion worker ministry says that over 70% of workers contacting their ministry for help received information from someone on the sidewalk.
Sidewalk Advocates for Life: Report as of October 2016 Current Number of Locations: 101 worldwide (including 8 international locations: Canada, Ireland, Australia, Romania, Nigeria, Cameroon, Fiji, Vanuatu) Babies Saved: almost 1,500 (on average: 1-2 preborn children saved per day) Hopefuls: 368 Turnaways: 173 Abortion Workers Who Left: 36 Facility Closures: 2 Other: chastity discussions, healthcare turnaways, post-abortion healing
Three Keys to Success on the Sidewalk 1. Approaching abortion-bound women and men in confidence 2. A no or low-cost, life-affirming alternative for everything Planned Parenthood or the abortion / abortion-referral facility offers 3. Keep the end in mind (the main goal) and persevere!
Partnership with Program Advisor, And Then There Were None SAFL sends all workers to ATTWN (see abortionworker.com) where they can receive 1. Financial help 2. Legal help 3. Employment help 4. Emotional support 5. Spiritual support 6. Healing retreats
Election 2016
Election 2016: 6 Ways a President Affects the Pro-Life Movement 1. Supreme Court Nominations: There could be as many as 3 or 4 vacancies this next Presidential term that will determine policies for generations to come; we are likely 1-2 votes away from overturning Roe v. Wade. 2. Federal District and Appellate Court Appointments: The President will also name judges to 94 federal district courts and 13 appellate courts. 3. Executive Branch Appointments: Every President fills 7,000+ positions in the White House, federal departments / agencies, and advisory panels. When laws are passed, typically, these appointees are the ones who write regulations that can determine how laws are interpreted and implemented. 4. Executive Orders: With the stroke of a pen, a President can decide that taxpayers will have to subsidize the taking of innocent human life, or he / she can decide that such funding may not take place. Examples include The Mexico City Policy which prevent federal tax dollars from going to organizations that perform or promote abortions overseas Those that prohibit or allow the federal funding of embryonic stem cell research Those that prohibit or allow taxpayer funds to go to the United Nations Population Fund, which has aided China s forced abortion policies 5. The Federal Budget: Each year, the President submits a spending plan to the House of Representatives which sets the debate regarding spending priorities and programs to be funded or cut. 6. The President s Veto: A pro-life Congress can pass various legislations to protect life, but unless both the House and Senate have super pro-life majorities (290 seats in the House; 67 in the Senate), a pro-abortion President can kill any legislation with his veto. On the flip side, a pro-abortion Congress can be stopped by the veto of a pro-life President. (NOTE: We were one Presidential signature away from defunding Planned Parenthood nationally this past January! President Obama vetoed legislation that would have ended $400 million of the $500 million+ in taxpayer funding going to Planned Parenthood for one year. This would have redirected Planned Parenthood s public subsidies to comprehensive community health clinics that offer more health services and outnumber Planned Parenthood facilities 20 to 1.)
Election 2016: Why Vote Pro-Life First Abortion is the greatest cause of death in the history of the world: 59 million children have lost their lives in the U.S. alone This is a present-day holocaust; nothing is more urgent LIFE is the foundational right from which all other rights flow Some candidates have pledged to expand abortion with the help of our tax dollars
Election 2016: Further Wisdom from Pro-Life Leaders Kristan Hawkins, Students for Life of America Alveda King, Priests for Life Fr. Frank Pavone, Priests for Life Eric Scheidler, Pro-Life Action League Dr. Pat Castle, National LIFE Runners Team
