Opening of the sitting The sitting opened at Negotiations ahead of Parliament's first reading (Rule 69c) (consent) The President announced that no request had been received on behalf of a number of Members or a political group or groups reaching at least the medium threshold concerning the decisions to enter into interinstitutional negotiations announced in the Minutes of Tuesday 15 January 2019 (minutes of , item 7). The ECON and ITRE Committees had therefore been able to start the negotiations following the expiry of the deadline laid down in Rule 69c(2). 3.
