4 Mr. President, AKGA Board Members, and fellow Breeder Members As chairman of the Store Committee, I would like to first introduce my committee members, Without whom I could never have accomplished this new challenge. They are: Lez'le Denson, Dona Mason-Reneau, and Mo. Jean (Jean Gullion). Our purpose is to promote the AKGA, the KIKO Breed, and you the Members and your farms, By providing quality items at reasonable prices to the members while also earning a small Profit for the Association to fund our Youth activities. Our Accomplishments to date in only 5 working months have been: 1. Designed and maintained a Store Website at no cost to the Association. 2. Designed and acquired 11 farm items and 11 Apparel items with one new item shown Here this weekend that is not yet on our website to help you the members promote your association and your farms. 3. Designed a 3 ft. x 6 ft. Banner for your Association Store to be displayed at all future functions at no cost to the association. 4. We have designed a very first ever "Convention" keepsake Mug and T-Shirts and if they go over well will do the same for future conventions. It's up to you, the members. 5. We are here with samples for you to see and willing, and able to help you decide with what and how you can best utilize our researching to promote your farm and your goats. 6. To date we have in approximately 5 months (first orders came in Nov. of 2008) acquired gross sales of $ , with earnings above cost to association of $ generated for our youth program. 7. Our store presence here at the Convention this weekend has been very well received and we think highly successful with approximately $ in sales for the first two days already! Mr. President, that concludes my AKGA STOREReport. Thank you. Leo Stoltz, chairperson

6 Proposal to Host the 2010 AKGA Convention The members ofthe Southeast Kiko Goat Association (SEKGA), regional affiliate of the American Kiko Goat Association (AKGA), proudly submits this proposal to host the 2010 AKGA Convention. Proposed Site The members of the SEKGA propose that the 2010 AKGA Convention be held at the Georgia National Fairgrounds and Agricenter (hereafter referred to as the Fairgrounds) in Perry, Georgia. The Fairgrounds is a state-owned, multipurpose 1,100 plus acre complex that is open year-round. It is the site of numerous agricultural events and expositions as well as being specifically designed for meetings, conferences, livestock and horse shows, concerts, rodeos, RV rallies, trade shows, and sporting events. This beautifully landscaped site, with fountains and lakes, hosts multiple events every week; many of which are free and open to the public. Proposed Facilities As a result of communications with staff members of the Fairgrounds, it has been determined that in order to make the 2010 AKGA Convention a success, the rental of one of the two sheep/swine barns and the rental ofthe New South Arena would be appropriate. Sheep/swine barn #1 is a 36,320 square foot building that is capable of holding 488 galvanized metal pens (6' x 6') with 5' wide aisles. It also boasts the following features: ample electrical outlets, concrete floors, a paging system between arena and barn, truck loading chute, office for show officials and judges, covered walkway to the New South Arena, and rest rooms with showers and hot water. Sheep/swine barn #2 is a 32,000 square foot building that is capable of holding 384 galvanized metal pens (6' x 6') with 5' wide aisles. It also boasts the following features: ample electrical outlets, concrete floors, a paging system, office for show officials and judges, rest rooms with showers and hot water, covered walkway to the New South Arena, and enclosed with 12' and 14' roll-up doors for loading/unloading. The New South Arena is a 24,764 square foot building that has 976 stadium seats and a 66' by 120' open floor space that is capable of holding a 54' by 87' showring. It also boasts the following features: a climate controlled atmosphere, a concession stand, 2 roll-up doors (12' x 24')for easy loading & unloading, rest rooms, and indoor/outdoor carpeted surface for shows.
7 shavings or similar materials, and the clean-up associated with the dismantling of the pens and bedding material once the Convention is over. The staff ofthe Fairgrounds would also be willing to set up the sale ring area and platform for the auctioneer as well as any holding pens and alleyway leading to the barn to the New South Arena where the sale would be conducted for a cost to be determined later. The cost for this would be dependent on the design, structure, requirements, etc., that we wanted the sale ring, platform, holding pens, and alleyways to conform to. Any clean-up and/or other routine maintenance, such as the cleaning ofthe rest rooms, would be performed by the staff members of the Fairgrounds at different intervals throughout the day. Staff members of the Fairgrounds would also be available should their assistance be needed for such duties between their normally scheduled intervals.
