RESIGNATION Attachment #1 The District has received a letter of resignation from the following individual. EMPLOYMENT Attachment #2 Instructional Mentor The Middle School Principal is recommending Board Approval of Rodney Keiser as Jay Zeigler s mentor at the rate approved (pro-rated) for the School Year. The Superintendent recommends Board approval. Motion: Tamara Hoffman Second: Abigail Appleman Classified Special Education Paraprofessional The Special Education Supervisor is recommending that the Board approve the employment of Cassandra Hankins to serve as a Special Education paraprofessional, assigned to the high school, effective December 22, Ms. Hankins is to work no more than hours per week with the hourly rate of $9.75 with benefits as prescribed in the Classified Handbook. The Superintendent recommends Board approval. Motion: Todd Moser Second: Charles Axtman Activities Set Designer Spring Musical The High School Principal is requesting that Mr. Rick Buck be approved as the Set Designer for the 2017 Spring Musical. Mr. Buck s stipend will be set at $1, according to the WREA bargaining agreement. The Superintendent recommends Board approval. Motion: Tamara Hoffman Second: George Grose Athletics Coaches The High School Principal and the Athletic Director are recommending that the following individual serve as a coach for the 2016/2017 winter sport season. 4 Volunteer Coaches The High School Principal and Athletic Director are requesting that the following individual serve as a volunteer coach for the 2016/2017 winter sport season. The Superintendent recommends Board approval. Volunteer Sport Callen Foresman Boys Basketball Second: Todd Moser 5. SUBSTITUTE The Superintendent is recommending Board approval of the classified substitute list as presented. Classified Hourly rate commensurate with position. UNREMUNERATED LEAVE REQUEST The Superintendent recommends Board approval of an unremunerated leave for Employee 2016-S from December 7, 2016 to December 9, 2016, pending release by their physician. Motion: Abigail Appleman Second: Elias Stevens 7. LEAVE OF ABSENCE The Superintendent recommends Board approval of a requested leave for Employee 2016-T. This leave will begin on December 8, Employee 2016-T will return on January 3, 2017 pending release by their physician. Motion: Abigail Appleman Second: Benjamin Hormell 8. FAMILY MEDICAL LEAVE REQUEST The District has received the following request for Family Medical Leave which complies with District Policy and U.S. Department of Labor Guidelines. The Superintendent recommends Board approval. Employee 2016 U is requesting FMLA to commence on October 28, Employee 2016 U is planning on returning upon release from their physician. Motion: Todd Moser Second: Tamara Hoffman 9. SCHOOL VOLUNTEERS The District is requesting Board approval for the following individuals to serve as volunteers in our schools. The Superintendent recommends Board approval. Joanne Vognet Meghan Zettlemoyer Second: Abigail Appleman 10. BOARD COMMITTEE ASSIGNMENTS Attachment #3 The School Board President has compiled a list of committee assignments to serve through December 1, May we have a motion to approve the assignments as presented? FOSTER CARE POINT OF CONTACTS The District is recommending that the Board approve the Superintendent and Special Education Supervisor as foster care point of contacts between the Warrior Run School District and the Montour, Northumberland, and Union County Children & Youth Agencies. Second: George Grose 12. FOSTER CARE MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING Attachment #4 The Superintendent and Special Education Supervisor are recommending that the Board approve the Foster Care MOUs between the Warrior Run School District and the Montour, Northumberland, and Union County Children & Youth Agencies as presented. Second: Abigail Appleman 13. PROPOSED PRELIMINARY BUDGET 2017/2018 SCHOOL YEAR Attachment #5 The Business Manager requests approval to formally present the proposed preliminary budget for the 2017/2018 school year. Act 1 of 2006 requires that districts present a preliminary budget at least twenty days prior to adoption. The preliminary budget will be presented on January 23, Act 1 requires that the preliminary budget be adopted prior to February 15, The Superintendent recommends Board approval. DISTRICT DEPOSITORIES It is the recommendation of the Business Manager that the Board approve the following list of institutions as depositories for school funds: Fulton National Bank (FNB) M & T Bank Muncy Bank & Trust Company First National Bank Santander Bank Susquehanna Bank Turbotville National Bank West Milton State Bank Pennsylvania Local Government Investment Trust Citizens & Northern Bank Second: Tamara Hoffman Page 5 of 7

6 15. CAPITAL RESERVE FUND TRANSFER It is the recommendation of the Finance Committee that the Board approve the transfer of $500,000 from the General Fund balance to the Capital Reserve Fund. The funds will be used for future building projects, facility updates, technology, and other capital expenditures. The Superintendent recommends Board approval. FIELD EXPERIENCE AGREEMENT Attachment #6 The Supervisor of Special Education is requesting that the Board approve the Field Experience Agreement with Indiana University of Pennsylvania (IUP) as submitted. The Superintendent recommends Board approval. Second: Todd Moser 17. SCOREBOARD DONATIONS Attachment #7 The High School Principal is requesting Board approval to accept the donations of $1, from the list of sponsors as presented to purchase new scoreboards for the baseball field totaling $8, The Superintendent recommends Board approval. FACILITIES USAGE REQUESTS Attachment #8 The District has received the following requests for use of facilities. The Superintendent recommends Board approval pending insurance and waiving rental fees: Rob Wagner, on behalf of the Warrior Run Mat Club, is requesting use of the Middle School Cafeteria and Middle School Gymnasium on Saturday, December 17, 2016 from 6:00am 5:00pm to hold AA Elementary Wrestling Tournament. Kimberly Ranck, on behalf of the Warrior Run Cheerleaders, is requesting use of the High School Gym on Saturday, January 28, 2017 from 12:00pm 7:00pm on Sunday, January 29, 2017 to hold a Cheerleading Competition. MINI-THON CONTRACT Attachment #9 (TABLED) The Warrior Run Middle School Principal, on behalf of the Karing Kids Club, is requesting that the Board approve the Four Diamonds Mini-THON Partnership Agreement with the Warrior Run Middle School as submitted. The Superintendent recommends Board approval.
