Failure to answer any question or bid an item shall be just cause for considering the bid as non-responsive. Line item costs should include all Contractor s overhead and profit and indirect costs. 5 BID ITEMS: Bid Items 1 through 8 are for maintenance services for street, median and open space landscape maintenance and weed control, weed control in alleys, landscaping maintenance are various City facilities, buildings, Libraries, and Parking Lots. For Bid Items 1 through 8, City reserves the right to increase or decrease the quantity of any item or portion of the work; to delete portions of the work; and to make alterations, additions or deletions from the specifications as deemed necessary. Any such changes will be set forth in a contract change order, which will specify, in addition to the work to be done in connection with the change made, adjustment of contract time, if any, and the basis of compensation for such work. A contract change order will not become effective until approved by the City Manager and/or City Council. Bid Items 9.a through 9.hh are for various common repairs and/or replacements. There is no guarantee that these services will have to be performed in the quantities shown. The City reserves the right to increase, decrease, or delete quantities for Bid Items 9.a through 9.ff without any increase or decrease in the Unit Price bid.
