1 EEPC India Invites Participation for Indian Engineering Exhibition (INDEE) in Cambodia Why Cambodia Phnom Penh, Cambodia, February 2016 Cambodia has experienced rapid economic growth over the last decade. Cambodian gross domestic product (GDP) grew at an average annual rate of over eight percent between 2000 and 2010 and over seven percent since It is expected to continue to grow at a similar rate over the next two years. Despite the strong performance of the garment, tourism, and construction/real estate sectors, Cambodia remains an agrarian country. Approximately 80 percent of the Cambodian population is involved in agriculture on a full-time or part-time basis. Since Cambodia became the first least-developed country (LDC) to join the World Trade Organization (WTO) in 2004, trade has steadily increased. Cambodia s global engineering imports were $3.5 billion in Although the figure is small, the imports are growing at a fast pace, and have increased by nearly three times in only the last five years. India s share, however, remains below one per cent. However, doing business with Cambodia can be looked at from a broader perspective for the following reasons: Cambodia, being a part of the CLMV (Cambodia Laos Myanmar Vietnam) group of countries, offers easy access to these markets as well. Cambodia is also a member of ASEAN, and the Indian business community can take advantage of the existing free trade agreement between India and all the ASEAN countries. India is also planning to embark on a preferential trade arrangement with the CLMV countries in particular. Cambodia, being a LDC, has easy access to the markets of the developed countries through the GSP route as well.

(Minimum booth size is 9 sq.mtrs) 10% extra corner booths (subject to availability) The above participation charges will also include the following: 1. 4 nights of hotel stay for one person per exhibiting company; and 2. Daily transfer from hotel to exhibition venue and back. Stand display Each 9 sq. mtr. booth will consist of: Three chairs, one information counter, one discussion table, three spotlights, one dustbin, one 15 Amp Socket with floor carpet and fascia. Submission of application Interested members may please send the application form, duly filled in and signed, along with full payment latest by 31 st December, 2015 to the respective Regional Offices or to any other EEPC INDIA office (details in annexure).

EEPC India will notify members of the details of its assistance in carrying samples, in due course. In exceptional cases, where applicants are unwilling / unable to display their samples, a waiver certificate to this effect must be obtained from EEPC India. The applications that are not followed by display of samples, as well as the above mentioned waiver certificate, will not be considered. Selection of participants will be done after receiving full payment strictly on first-come-first- served basis and subject to their payment of the requisite charges in full. Benefit to the member-exporters All eligible participants will be entitled to MDA grant under the Focus ASEAN+2 Programme of the Ministry of Commerce & Industry, Government of India as per the Revised Guidelines effective from 1st June Assistance would be permissible on travel expenses by air (economy excursion fare) and/or charges of built up furnished stall subject to a ceiling of Rs. 2,00,000/- (Rupees Two Lakh) only. Eligibility for MDA grant is subject to exporter-members (a) having FOB value of exports up to Rs. 30 crore in the preceding year, (b) having a minimum of 12 months membership with EEPC India with regular filing of returns, and (c) fulfilling other conditions, details of which can be obtained from respective Regional Offices of EEPC India. Cancellation of participation Applicants can withdraw their participation without deduction of charges in participation fees paid if their applications are received by 7 th January 2016.
