2 ARDD-Legal Aid: Access to Justice for All ARDD-Legal Aid defends human rights through free legal services to marginalized people, especially refugees and migrants. We empower citizens and government institutions to develop justice and peace in Jordan and the wider Middle East 2

4 Women and Gender ARDD-Legal Aid supports women in the quest for gender justice in Jordan Laki Forsa Know Her Rights Women s Access to Justice 2 year project 3250 direct female beneficiaries Netherlands Embassy Increase women s access to justice in Balqa and Aqaba 2 year project 1,500 primary beneficiaries 150 secondary beneficiaries UN Trust Fund Women and girls are supported to exercise the right to live a life free from sexual and gender based violence in Jordan 3 year project 18,000 direct beneficiaries Regional Project Oxfam To build on women s human capital, facilitating their access to the legal system and securing just outcomes 4

5 Youth Empowerment ARDD-Legal Aid promotes transformative societal change by empowering youth within their communities Mustaqbal Sahafatuna 1 year project 30 youth from Zarqa USAID Provide a space for active and diverse collaboration among youth in Zarqa to address social, economic and political issues and advancing change through journalism. Education for the Future 20 month project Action Research Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs Research and promote quality formal education and social cohesion between Syrian refugee and Jordanian children. 5

Ead B Ead 1 year 3,000 direct and13,000 indirect beneficiaries Ministry of Political and Parliamentary Affairs Change the decision-making process to one where both men and women have a say in the process of identifying community priorities 7

9 Human Resource Development Initiative Seeks to develop a human resources development model that equips future generations with tools of knowledge and education, as well as excellence and innovation Formulate a national strategy, for a10-year executive plan that encompasses primary and higher education as well as vocational and technical training Identify consensus-based reform policies that support modernization and progress. Syrian Education Committee was established within the framework National Committee for Human Resources Development focusing on quality education and refugees. Paper developed with recommendations for inclusive and quality education 9
