Member of the Home Office NGO monitoring team for the UK Action Plan chaired by the Solicitor General and the Minister responsible for Counter Trafficking and Serious Crime 2007 ongoing. Member of European Study and Action group countering Trafficking Churches Against Trafficking and contributor to study on European manifestations of Trafficking in all its forms 1

Principal Achievements Developed a company which has emerged as a recognised expert in community cohesion issues and diversity mainstreaming in the UK. Undertaken a number of major research projects with a variety of Public Service bodies from National to Local to inform strategic change for integration and public service delivery to Migrant communities. Led major review into Welfare provisioning in Immigration Detention Centres in the United Kingdom and developed guidelines on new forms of welfare delivery into these centres Improved diversity of recruitment into Eastern region Constabularies through the result of action plan generated from research undertaken by Ibix Insight in 2006 for Cambridgeshire constabulary. Development of Strategic plan and guidelines for working with migrant populations. Enabled improved understanding and provided new evidence for decision making on resource allocation for Public Services experiencing Accession country inward migration. Instrumental in the formation of the Migration Impact Forum as a result of the lobbying of Chief Constable Julie Spence for increased funding for public services in responding to Accession Country labour migration, based on our work in Peterborough, Norfolk and Cambridgeshire. Consulted by ministers of Government and shadow ministers in the key issues to be addressed around the management of migration. Increased the bilingual recruitment and diversification of personnel across Cambridgeshire Constabulary s neighbourhood policing platform through work with the ACPO team in Cambridgeshire. Improved the understanding for national policing on the under-reporting of hate crime across Chinese communities within the UK. Designed and researched a grid for understanding the key elements of Chinese intimidation and cultural mechanisms of control for National policing published in Policing Complex Communities. Founder of the Cambridge Centre for Applied Research in Human Trafficking which is run alongside the academic research work undertaken under the umbrella of the African Studies Centre in the University of Cambridge. Research Fellow of the Legatum Institute London November 2009-June 2010 investigating issues pertaining to increased risk of trafficking and major sporting events. 2
