3 Climate and Landscape Countries climate:hot humid,rainy,two distinct monsoon seasons northeastern monsoon(december to March) and southern monsoon(june to September);intermonsoon-frequent afternoon and early evening thunderstorm. Physical landscape:middle of the main island contains a number of rounded hills; west and southwest the land is a series of low ridges, while east and southeast, the land is generally flat. There, you can buy everything from squid and duck to ice-kacang (a kind of Singaporean snow cone) and exotic fruit drinks. The food is cheap and good, but it s hard to find any open seats during lunch and dinnertime. The written history of Singapore may date back to the third century.... However, social unrest and disputes between Singapore's ruling People's Action Party and Malaysia's Alliance Party resulted in Singapore's expulsion from Malaysia.
